Hi there, this is my first post on this forum. I'm very new to the vaping scene, but it has helped me immensely. I quit cigarettes(heavy smoker) and switched to pod systems(Renova Zeropod), and it's amazing how easily I was able to quit cigarettes. Alright, let me get down to it then(I know it was a mistake to do this, I got excited and carried away, so please go easy on me ) I tried mixing my CBD oil (olive oil carrier) into my store bought flavoured eliquid (for pod systems, with nicotine) and I know now that it was a mistake, with the risks of lipid pneumonia at hand. Could you/anyone be kind enough to explain to me if I can re-extract the CBD oil from my failed attempt e liquid-cbd oil mix, and how? Basically, is it possible to reverse whatever I did(I sincerely hope that it is; I used really good, potent, high quality CBD Oil and it would be a shame to lose all that goodness) I'd appreciate any advice, tips, and help, whatsoever, loads. Looking forward to some positive answers, cheers!
I don't think there is a easy way to extract the CBD oil, but it can still be used as a sublingual (under the tongue) or ingested directly or in food. How much to use, especially if it also has nicotine, is the question. I'd use it in small quantities to start. No need to waste it!

FWIW;
A tincture is typically an extract of plant or animal material dissolved in ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
In chemistry a tincture is a solution that has ethanol as its solvent.

I know of no easy way to separate this, nor is there enough at stake to try imo.
Additionally real Lab test would be mandatory to verify the purity of the extraction, before use.

I agree that it's OK to take oral. What nicotine strength is the killer kustard? Just do a few drops at a time and see how it affects you (and your stomach) It's perfectly safe if you don't do too much.
Hey we all make mistakes... a friend had some "wax" and thought it was an oral type product. Tasted nasty and we thought it would never get off our teeth and tongue! Red wine worked (and masked the taste)
If you noticed, all discussion of these things are supposed to be on these specific forums, and this is a new thing here.
There is a different form of CBD for vaping (no oils!)

But you said it was an "olive OIL" carrier.....a HUGE NO NO.
You won't get a single person here to encourage you to do so. They make a water soluble cbd, but you are better off purchasing the CBD from a reliable vendor.

Sorry, you weren't addressing my post....:)
Hey Katmar, sorry about that. I'm so confused btwn the difference of tinctures and oils, cuz I distinctly remember reading that tinctures are alcohol based, which is often confused as oil based. Anyway, thanks for the concern and the sorry again for not addressing your previous post, Katmar.

You need to be using CBD isolate mixed in mostly PG and some VG to be 100% safe vaping CBD at the moment.

More days of hope, thank you my G! Well the nicotine content is 4.8%, I used Vapetasia Killer Custard eliquid for pod systems. Cheers for the positive feedback, much appreciated! ♥️

Very kind of u to empathize, and for your past experience as well. Thank you so much The nicotine contents is 4.8%, 48mg/ml. It's pretty high, so I guess I'll start small and experiment further. Once again, really appreciate your kind words, and thank you!

Chemical linked to deadly vaping illnesses

As of Thursday, New York had received 34 reports from doctors of severe pulmonary illness among patients who ranged in age from 15 to 46 who were using at least one cannabis-containing vape product before becoming sick. All patients reported recent use of various vape products, officials said. Many are suspected to be counterfeits or recreational cannabis-containing vape products available in other states.

Vitamin E acetate is basically grease, said Michelle Francl, a chemistry professor at Bryn Mawr College. Its molecular structure means that “you have to heat it up pretty hot” for it to vaporize. Its boiling point is 363 degrees Fahrenheit, which is well above the 212 degrees F boiling point for water, and nearly four times higher than normal human body temperature.

Once the oil is heated hot enough to vaporize, it can potentially decompose, and “now you’re breathing in who-knows-what,” Francl said.

** When that vapor cools down in the lungs, it returns to its original state at that temperature and pressure, she said, which means “it has now coated the inside of your lungs with that oil,” she said. **
I remember watching this video, thank you for your informative response, much appreciated. Oh and coincidentally I'm into music as well, I make beats and I'm a sound engineer. Cheers, G ♥️

Tinctures can be in almost any carrier for convenience.
IMO, In all cases, they are for topical, external application only unless stated otherwise by the manufacture.

Cheers

Wrong. What are nicotine lozenges and gums? I wouldn't recommend drinking it like a pepsi, but drops of liquid are often dripped in the mouth of many vapers when clouds are no-no.
I'm gonna try this out, thanks a bunch!

At 48mg I wouldn't do anything with it other than throw it out, even a small amount of that ingested could make you sick.

That is a ton of nicotine meant to be vaped in small amounts per session.
Yea I kinda suspected that. But would it make a difference if I already diluted it even more with PG? Apologies in advance if it's a dumb question.
