I bought an Aerotank and went to the webiste to confirm its authenticity and it said 900 people already checked it. I would have thought I would have been the first. On my second day using it I also noticed a weird brown color coming out of the threads that kinda looks like rust. Is something wrong with it or am I just being paranoid. The juice I put in there was totally clear. I know that the wick turns color and could bleed off into the juice. aerotank.jpg

I bought it brand new on ebay. I just went to szkanger.com again to try to check it again, entered the code and now it takes me to a weird chinese website. And I can only access szkanger.com thru my phone and not my pc. Anybody else have this issue?

Oh; that randy guy from ebay.

szkanger.com?

are you sure that's the kangertech site?

If you paid for what should have been a genuine Kangertech product then the product code thing indicates it's a counterfiet product I hope you reported the source to kangertech.

What's the source. Post the link.

Took a while, but the szkanger site loaded eventually;

About Us
With the onslaught of knock-off tank products claiming to be KangerTech products, or of being just as good as KangerTech products, KangerTech has decided to set the bar even higher. KangerTech has always held its quality to the highest standards, and in doing created a quality that is not easily duplicated. As such, KangerTech is issuing an extension of warranty on all of its current tank models. Genuine KangerTech Protank 2, Protank 2 Mini, Protank 3, and AeroTank quality is of such high standard, that KangerTech is now warranting the glass tanks of manufacturer defect for one (1) year, all and the o-rings for life. As well, KangerTech will be replacing any DOA coils.
In an effort to not overwhelm vendors, KangerTech already open a service center in Norcoss, GA. This service center is available to handle any warranty issues for genuine KangerTech products.

At least it has the kangertech logo at the top; I don't understand the sz though.

My Kanger replacement coil box has a QR code, which I scanned, and it gave an szkanger.com url. I think that's a legit web address. Beyond that... dunno.

It's a legit address. Go to kangertech.com and click on the link to check the code. It redirects to szkangertech.com.

Domain registration can be checked at http://www.tucowsdomains.com/whois.
kangertech.com is the U.S. registered domain. szkangertech.com is the China registered domain.

I've bought a total of 5 Aerotanks off of Ebay for $17 in the last few months and have never even bothered to check the codes. The boxes all appear 100% including the security check, although I know that doesn't really say much, but most importantly, everything is as it should be and in perfect working order! So because of that, I've never really felt a need to check. I suppose I could but what makes me a confident Ebay buyer is that if you have a problem with them or suspect something, contact the seller and open up a case in the Resolution Center if need be. I've had to do it more times then I've cared to and a total of twice on dealing with vaping supplies. I had a seller try to sell me fake Kanger T3's that didn't even have the Kanger logo on them. Of course as soon as I contacted him he claimed to have JUST discovered the same, uh.....ya OK! I was offered a full refund plus shipping, and unfortunately decided to go ahead and try them out, as I didn't have anything else to use at the time. BIG MISTAKE! I tried two and they leak like a sieve! Lesson learned! Evidently the other buyers didn't notice or care, as he had sold quite a bit before I came along and had all good feedback!

However back to the issue at hand, if you're having issues with them and the security measures don't check out, open up a case. No one here is going to be able to verify for you if it's real or not, but I'm going to say chances are, unless you bought them for $10, it's probably just fine. Who knows though....Hope it works out for you, and I'll check one of my boxes and let you know.

Very cool, I lived in Georgetown for a few weeks when my mom was the manager at Hobby Lobby there. It was very different then living in the H.H/Killeen area. I was SUPPOSED to graduate in Cove, but those two serious looking security man-chicks couldn't keep me there at the time and I ended up dropping out unfortunately.... It's a small world lol!

This isn't a case of a knockoff with no logo; this is a case of a product with the KangerTech logo but which seems to fail the security code check - which means it's a counterfeit.

The OP still hasn't provided a link to the ebay seller so we still don't know who it is.
I doubt it's not a ecf registered supplier storefront, but if it is I'm sure everybody would like to know.

To clear some confusion.

szkanger.com - Kanger's Shenzhen manufacturer site - what I consider the manufacturer only - they don't sell anything - informational site.
kangertechus.com - Kanger's retail online store - I think that's pretty clear.
kangeronline.com - Kanger's wholesale online vendor - not really good prices, I'm sure you could get better pricing through szkanger's contacts.

szkanger.com will not load up for me I get an error everytime. that is the website my box says to go to, to verify my product as I just got one at a local B&M the other day (they are a pretty reputable supplier so I didn't think much of it and its working well) but I really want to type in the # to see what comes up! im going to try the sites listed above

edit; the 2nd website listed works but when I click the link to verify authenticity still no go :(
