well back to the OP's original complaint.
yes it is common for the wicks to darken up as the juice in them saturates the wick it tends to filter
the colorization and concentrate and thicken the juice in general.
move along nothing going on here.
regards
mike

Apparently you missed the original complaint?

I bought an Aerotank and went to the webiste to confirm its authenticity and it said 900 people already checked it.

This is the one I bought. Authentic Kangertech Kanger Aerotank Aero Tank Airflow Control Dual Coil Glass | eBay

My authenticity code is 16800 58681 42623 23332
If someone wants to check it out for me but the last time I checked on my phone I think it said something like 900 people inquired about it or something like that. When I refreshed the page that said the 900 thing the number kept on going up to 901 then 902 and thats when I stopped refreshing. Now I can't even get to the website to see what it actually said.

So that brown color liquid that's on the thread is from the wick? Why would it seep out thru there? Also I've been getting a lot of popping when I hit it also but don't know if that's related

This isn't a case of a knockoff with no logo; this is a case of a product with the KangerTech logo but which seems to fail the security code check - which means it's a counterfeit.

The OP still hasn't provided a link to the ebay seller so we still don't know who it is.
I doubt it's not a ecf registered supplier storefront, but if it is I'm sure everybody would like to know.

The seller is MrMaxVapor.

Interestingly enough I can't "Visit Store" without a security popup coming up asking me if to run or save; I ain't clicking.

I hope you've provided some feedback on ebay.

OK, first things first. Contact the seller and tell him that you've tried to authenticate your device and per Kanger website it's a fake. Your seller may be unaware that he's selling fakes. And take it from there. If he refuses, remind him about eBay guarantee, posted right there on his site:

"Get the item you ordered or get your money back.
Covers your purchase price and original shipping."

Yes. Eliquids darken even when they just sit in their bottles. Nicotine oxidizes when exposed to light, heat and oxygen. It's a normal process and doesn't affect the way eliquids taste or produce vapor. Just like when you cut an apple open, or an avocado--it turns brown almost immediately.

When you pour your eliquid into a tank, the oxidation occurs much faster because the eliquid is exposed to light, heat and oxygen all at once. Another cause for the darkening is that the wick and coils become gunked up with unvaporized particles added to ejuice--flavorings, colorings, sugars, etc. All that dark caramelized gunk essentially "stains" the fresh e-liquid that was added to the tank. And since PG is a great solvent, it continuously dissolves portions of that gunk.

I often "wet burn" my clearomizers; I just add some unflavored PG/VG mix, with or without nicotine, up the voltage a bit and vape that until the juice in my tank runs clear. Works like a charm and is much gentler on the coils than dry burning.

You have to keep your coils clean, especially if you're using dark, heavy, sweet juices. A soak in boiling water, PGA, or denture cleaning solution should be performed often. If the coil gets really dirty, only a dry burn will save it. Or just grab a fresh one.

Good luck!

I was reading earlier on another forum that a supplier did indeed send out clones.

This is not about clones with no brand name or clones with a known clone brand name, this is about FAKEs that include a Company Brand Name and logo but not manufacturered by that company.

I understand it was the aspire nautilus knock offs I was thinking of. And yes some clones have the same markings and even serial numbers.

Yes, if a clone has the brand and serial numbers copied it is not just a clone it is a counterfiet.
Which is the case here. The product is a counterfiet.

I linked to a specific post in the thread where I posted pictures of the same serial on both a Protank 3 and an Aerotank I got from FC (who were apparently sent them by a supplier they no longer work with).

Ah; got it;

Another example of counterfieting.
