Fake AW batteries?

I just received a new AW 18350. Did he completely change his batteries? Or is this new one fake? Or are my old ones fake? The size of the battery is different, shape is different, all font is different sizes and different font.

Please look at the pictures and let me know which one is the real in comparison to your AW batteries?

The one on the right appears to be a fake.

Out of respect for the company, I will talk to them first. If they don't repair the problem, then I will let you all know where it came from. If they don't take them off the shelves, I will also let you all know where it came from, to make sure that no one else purchases AW from them. Makes me wonder whether the e-liquid I bought from them is fake as well? I purchased some grumpy's hooch from them as well. The label seems to be really really low quality as if they printed it themselves and put it in an empty 10ml bottle.

Be curious where you got the fake.

Be sure to buy batts from a reputable company, RTD Vapor, Super T Mfgr., are a couple. Better to pay a little more and know you are getting the real deal. Don't attempt to go cheap on batts, they are critical to reliability and safer vaping.

I just buy red batteries and put my own AW sticker on them. Saves the counterfeiters the trouble...

For the bottom right corner picture, the right battery just has slightly less red plastic around the bottom so the indent shows more. What points of interest are people seeing to say that one is fake over the other?

Well this is great.....it appears that ALL of my AW IMR batteries are fakes according to Fatboy Vapor's article. that includes ALL SIX of my 18490's and 4 of my 18350's......

I guess my question is, how can you be sure that any vendor will know the difference? I want to order "real" AW's, but I am worried that I will just receive fakes again! The differences are so subtle that I bet there are plenty of reputable vendors out there selling fakes and not even knowing it.....

You could just always order from the source overseas. Took a while for mine to get here. (got some before other stores carried them)

For now, those of you who are worried or already affected, buy from known trusted sources. RTDVapor and Lighthound are two that carry legit batteries.

Buy Efest batteries instead

That is an option. However, having used both Efest and genuine AW batteries, the AW are more consistant and longer lasting than the Efests. IMHO, genuine AW are worth the couple of bucks more if you buy them from an authorized vendor.

RTD Vapor, AltSmoke, Lighthound, Provape, and Super T Manufacturing are all authorized dealers for AW.
