Anyone seen any Cobras that are suppose to be real but not. The box looks real, at first look the device looks real but no way it's real. It's a knock off. Top unscrews so no adjustment for venting draw. Unable to take it apart and you need a needle to fill it. And it's only $25 USD. Just wondering.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I believe the box was green, and the cobra on it was red. The real Cobra box is black, with a yellow cobra. I think the supplier stopped using the box. I believe I have one. I got it at a B&M shop, but it wasn't in a box; just a plastic bag. It's actually not a bad Chinese rba. It doesn't really look like a Cobra. The top cap is stainless, and it is threaded. It can be taken apart. The plastic tube is held on with o rings.

Maybe because the top plate layout and the hardware (screws, nuts, etc) are the same as the Griffin? Or maybe because he didn't know what he was buying at the time & had already 'named' them.

I don't know why Eric calls it a ss Griffin. It doesn't look anything like a Griffin at all.

Actually, that's one of the things I like about it. You can scoot the tube up a bit and then tighten down the top until the air hole lines up with the wick.

Yes, the top plate layout is the same as the Griffin, other than the fact that the top cap screws down and tightens directly onto the clear tank tube. It's the only RBA I can think of that does that.

Yep. That's a pretty cool feature. IMO, it's one of the best Chinese RBAs. I'm surprised it doesn't get talked about more. I actually like it better than the AGAs.
