i always see people bringing it up, "make sure it comes with a security check code" for alot of apvs out.

in all of the time ive ben vaping - i have NEVER seen a fake mvp, istick, or anything else of that nature, besides an ego battery or evod battery/tank cloned.

since those are more of a "style" type thing, i understand them being copied - but name brand devices like MVP, istick, sieglie and the rest, i have never seen a "copy" that used THEIR brand name.

never seen one for the mvp, but i know the istick has a few "sisters" out - with different brand names - obviously not trying to copy/infringe.

has any one ever seen any fake avps? and i mean FAKE.

buttload of "sister" devices, with different brand names.

what im talking about is completely fraudulent devices - that rip not only the design, but the name also.

Only one I've seen is an "Ego Twist" I got from a Hong Kong vendor. Pretty sure this doesn't happen with the real ones:

Innokin on their facebook page just a couple of days ago have a put pictures/video of the clone/fake MVP's " Which is the Real Innokin iTaste MVP? obviously the titan blue one is the real one. The black is a knock off" You can watch the video on YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zqsRL5b8eY

besides the OBVIOUS differences - that one does "copy the trademark name" so i can accept that as a knockoff - first one i have ever seen. thanks for posting

I saw clone ipv2s a few weeks ago. I don't know if its an issue buying new as they tell you its a clone, or use the word "style". Its possible though in the used market someone might try to con you.

I have a few clones here I think most people would have trouble telling apart from the authentic. I do keep all the boxes, and for authentics the authenticity card and receipt.

what defines a "real ego"? - egos are a style of battery, i have yet to see a clone with "janty" writtin on it, or "Kanger" writtin on any "fake" evods.

Pretty sure "eGo" is a trademark of Joyetech. That one I got from HK is proof of "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is" -- eGos cost more than $10! But for $10, you can get one that comes apart -- where it shouldn't! :D

I've found Chinese manufacturing works like this... A company that wants the best quality product usually has a Quality person in China on the production floor overseeing things. All the rejects from that guy will end up in another companies pile of products with their labels on it etc. So many things are made at the same exact place and simply labelled differently or painted a different color. Even here in the US they make all sorts of products that are the exact same thing to one another the only difference is the bottle shape or the label, color etc. But the product is exactly the same thing. In China I think they run these plants after the quality guy gets off and ship out the "clones" to places like Fasttech. They will reverse engineer and copy anything and everything in China. We sent them a batch of expensive aquaculture antibiotics once. For some reason they never placed another order after the 1st one. Thing is WE were getting the active antibiotic ingredient in that product FROM CHINA to begin with. So they have the source right there to get it they just needed a batch to see what else was in it and how it was formulated. Then they make their own.

You can see it with the cheap machine tools out of China. The higher costing makers have a better fit and finish over the lower cost machines from other makers even though they were all made in the exact same place. Better quality costs more money to produce. Some places only want to pay for a certain level of quality and that is all they get.

There's the Semovar, the Zero, the Hana, the VaporFlask.....the list goes on and on. 1:1 clones with logos, serial numbers, packaging... If its hot, there's a 1:1 clone available.

BLATANTLY listed as a clone - they werent advertised as authentic.

Kanger protanks fakes the first one he opens is the real protank. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5nklIZy_mk Kanger's web site as to whom they know at this time sells clones SHENZHEN KANGER TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD

Kanger has a war on fakes. With the onslaught of knock-off tank products claiming to be KangerTech products, or of being just as good as KangerTech products, products, KangerTech has decided to set the bar even higher. KangerTech has always held its quality to the highest standards, and in doing created a quality that is not easily duplicated. As such, KangerTech is issuing an extension of warranty on all of its current tank models. Genuine KangerTech Protank 2, Protank 2 Mini, Protank 3, and AeroTank quality is of such high standard, that KangerTech is now warranting the glass tanks of manufacturer defect for one (1) year, all and the o-rings for life. As well, KangerTech will be replacing any DOA coils.

In an effort to not overwhelm vendors, KangerTech already open a service center in Atlanta, GA. This service center is available to handle any warranty issues for genuine KangerTech products.

this thread is specificaly for APVS not mechs - which are widely known to be copied(since its just a tube)

also note - neither of the listings claim to be authentic - one even say STYLE, and the other doesnt even use the name brand in the title listing.

I edited my post to remove the mech.

The Hana has the Hana Logo on it.
Nothing wrong with making a hana clone and advertising it as a hana clone, but as long as the name brand is on the clone, that makes the item a counterfeit.

At my local B&M store they have a fake eleaf istick called the U20, one major difference is that albeit the look is DEAD ON to that of an istick, the u20 fires as low as .3 ohm coils, which is something eleaf should consider trying out themselves. I have a U30-B battery, well, mod, it is an ego style 2200 mah battery with an lcd and it goes up to 30 watts, it most certainly has to be a copy of something out there.
