I wouldn't use one sitting in my seat on a plane. I can see why it would cause a comotion even though there is no way it will blow up. Why argue with them. I'm not sure they can legally take it from you either. When it comes time for me to get on a plane and fly cross country I'll just take it in the bathroom and smoke it in there. Who will ever know.

and one should not vape in the bathroom unless you vape blowing out downwards direction (into the toilet) otherwise it will set the detector off..!!

Anyway, I put it away, but tried to explain to them that it is not dangerous and I thought that pilots and FAs were using them. "Oh no, US Airways has banned fake cigs. We are supposed to confiscate them. They can blow up during the flight!"![]()
