I seen this about the 25R2's blue wrap. Wondering if someone with authentic 25R5's can confirm if this is true for them as well. "You may have noticed the text is actually made up of small circles. Counterfeiters may not take care to have exactly the same font and number of circles so sometimes I will count the top-most row of the text's circles and see if they match. It takes about 20 seconds to count, so for your reference, a genuine 25R has the following number of circles in its top row: [I:3, N:2, R:4, 1:1, 8:3, 6:2, 5:5, 0:3, 2:3, 5:5, R:4]."

Thanks, Mooch answered for me. Said that it's not true, different factories may use different # of dots, # of posts, insulators etc. The "how to spot fake LG's" is not true either. Only way to tell is to take them apart to see the cell inside the tube. Always heard Samsungs have 3 post, LG's have 4 but different factories may use different #'s of them as well.

The number of "legs" coming down from the top contact will never change but the printing on the wrap and any codes on the metal can do change all the time and aren't a great way to authenticate a battery IMO.
