False start, but stickin' with it

Hello people.

I recieved my first vape kit yesterday, (Tecc Titan Kit + a 3rd Atty, 3rd Cell and a stack of blanks) and a small miracle happened I didn't smoke one single single roll-up ....-log from about 4 O'clock in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, I am smoking one now though, and will probably smoke them for the rest of today - I don't think I charged my batteries fully, so a bit of a false start for me really.

I'm going to leave them on the charger for another 4-5 hours each and start over again this evening.

But the actual vaping experience itself is pleasurable, and easy to get used to (the different taste, feeling, inhaling technique etc) and I didn't crave an ....-log anytime at all whilst I was vaping yesterday...the carts that came with my titan certainly taste different than real tobacco, but they do not taste horrible or totally alien to smokes, I am hoping all the juice I ordered will be here today so I can try out a few of the different flavours I've selected and try out the blank straw-mod carts I made up yesterday.

I also feel the need to say that I can see that folks who don't do a bit of research might be underwhelmed by the initial experience though, I am so glad that I found this place - Thank you ECF members - Especially you guys who've posted easy to follow tutorials here and on Youtube...It's just the simple things like blowing out the primer from a new atty that can make a world of difference, the paper towel I used was really full of the stuff after cleaning the three I recieved...I bet my first vape would've been disgusting and really off-putting without the cleaning.

I also think (like many others) the money I've invested could be some of the "smartest" money I've ever spent. I'll just have to wait a day or two before proudly making up my "Smoke free banner".

A battery should be fully charged when the charger light turns green. I try to keep ahead by always having a fully charged battery and another charging or fully charged. If you're not getting vapor, check to see if the atty is heating up a little....just warm, not hot. If not, it could be flooded, if it's getting hot, probably not enough liquid in it....drip in a couple of drops.

Hi RJ, yeah, I did charge them until they hit green yesterday, but I just get the feeling it wasn't quite enough (one of them was only on there an hour before it hit green), I figure if I give all three of them a good 4-5 hours today, I can then assume they will all have a good solid charge and I can start a good regime of rotating them whilst not leaving myself without any fully charged cells.

As for dripping, I only have factory filled carts and empty blanks at the moment, my juice order should be here today (fingers crossed) then I can fill the blank ones and start off with a nice drip or two to prime my atty.

I'm still really pleased with the gear I've bought though...for all I have read, it really comes down to individual experiences with this stuff wether you will like it or not....and I know now that I can live with it, I highly doubt that I will be smoking nasty ....-logs come Christmas (what better present could one give to themselves for Christmas, what better start to a new year than going into it smoke-free?).

I'll definitely be investing in a USB passthrough and a PCC over the next few weeks, now that I know I will be sticking with it.

Ghetto edit: My Juice has just come through the letterbox!!!

Got some 24mg Menthol, 24mg 555 and some 24mg Virginia to try...got a batch of other flavours on the way from another supplier as well.

It sounds like you did your research well before purchasing. I wish you good luck and I hope the e-cig does the trick and gets you off of the analogs.

Menthol liquid is a good choice. I never smoked menthol cigs, but the throat hit is what kept the cravings for an analog away and I quit successfully.

One tip, mark one atomizer with a green Sharpie permanent marker on the bottom of the brass fitting to identify that it is only for menthol. That way, you won't have menthol fouling up your other flavors. I also use a tiny green star sticker for my menthol atomizers.

Your right, a PCC and passthrough will help keep you powered up. I also bought the Mega Power batteries from TW. They're great and run about 4 hours!

This certainly has more bumps in the road than just lighting up an analog (why most kids would never make lasting users), but it is well worth it.

And, from experience, chargers lie a lot, but in no time at all you'll figure out how long to charge them.
