It's good to see a doctor who's not afraid to admit that saying ecigs are safe isn't the point. The point is that they are much SAFER than the alternative.

Exactly. And... unlike the quit smoking methods like the patch, pill, gum, whathaveyou... with the e-cig you are still smoking(vaping). So it isn't technically a quit smoking device if you are still partaking in the action of inhaling and withdrawing.

greeting to all
1 cart (low) = what??? i am confused... would you enlighten me...
Regards

there are different stats for different types however, our mini cartridges we say is about 12 smokes. it completely depends on how hard you pull and what type of smoker you are. I can make a cartridge last a day and a half on the medium and that is for me, about 18 tobacco cigarettes. My husband finds that for him, it lasts about a day which is 14 cigarettes.

Update: Our manufacturer did inform us that they have gone back to dipping the pad with nicotine vs having workers drop it in. This seems to help in longevity of the cartridge(according to the manu.)... but, no matter what, it does depend on how hard you smoke.

Sellers always get more out of cartridges than consumers ;)

General Consensus on Cartridges:

Super Minis (RN4081, RN4088, DSE103, etc...):
About 1-3 cigs worth (20-30 puffs)
Mini (DSE901, etc...):
5-6 cigs worth (50-75 puffs depending on how you puff)
Pen (DSE801, RN4072, etc...):
7-10 cigs worth (up to about 100 puffs)
eCigar:
10-12 cigs worth (up to about 120-130 puffs)
Pipe (DSE601, etc...)
Atleast 14-15 cigs worth. Carts are massive

until we've been guinea pigs for a few more years we won't know the long term implications of inhaling the chemicals we get in eliquid.

I'm not an epidemiologist, but I would think that barring totally different diseases, it would be difficult to separate health issues related to a history of esmoking from health issues related to a history of smoking. afaik, esmoking isn't really catching on with non-smokers.

So why can't esmokers ailments be compared with smokers?

They're the same people. If you get lung cancer from e-smoking, how are you going to know it was the esmoking and not the smoking? Especially if lung cancers from esmoking turned out to be relatively uncommon.

If you got something completely unrelated to smoking, then maybe.

Unfortunately too many sellers say things like that... and these type of (false) arguments are the ones that will accelerate the regulations process. Instead of communicating with sincerity and transparency, presenting the ecig as an alternative to smoking, they tend to spread confusing messages that will turn to be negative for our community. the more lies you say, the quicker you´ll be kicked out, inmha

Good find. I love what the doctor said about anything other than a cigarette is good. The Seller said 99% water 1% nicotine and still says it is a quit smoking device and 1 cart = 1 pack of cigs. I wish they would quit saying this.
