Both sites have many clones of many manufacturers.
What i wonder is why they don't write the name of the manufacturers next to each clone.
They have many versions of the same product of different manufacturers with different prices, but buying the highest priced clone doesn't always makes it the best choice.
We know many manufacturers names and know which is better then others and it's not like it's a secret as we know to recognize the boxes.

Boxes get copied too, you can't count on the box to determine the manufacturer. I have 2 KF clones that came in "together best cooperation" boxes, one from FC and one from FT. The devices are entirely different in manufacturing details.

Yeah, I wish they'd state the manufacturer up front.

The Tobeco situation is easily explained by the fact that Tobeco has recently upgraded the overall design of their KFL, and the machining is much improved, more refined, and more aesthetically pleasing on the newer batches of Tobeco. The Tobeco Kayfun used to be the ugliest of the clones (at least IMO), with its puffy seams, and semi polished finish. So yeah, older Tobeco's don't look like the newer ones (which is good), and they are not the only Kayfun clone manufacturer to update the machining and aesthetics on the Kayfun ... hcigar, and EHpro have also improved their Kayfun designs.

Once upon a time it was easy to spot an EHpro Kayfun by their chamferless top cap ... newer EHpro Kayfuns all have chamfered tops now. Hcigar's used to have a 1:1 body with the original, while the machining on the newer batches appear almost seamless between connecting pieces, apparently to keep up with the look of manufacturer's like Yesmo... in fact in seems as though many manufacturers are trying to replicate this seamless look, which is actually not at all like the original, which is well machined, but the seams are still apparent.

To answer the question, why don't Chinese vendors list the manufacturer of their clones, for one reason, they do not stock inventory by manufacturer, they order and stock inventory based on specs, and design. Another reason is that many suppliers do not reveal who the manufacturer is to protect their own position as supplier ... why use a supplier if you can go manufacturer direct? On the other side of that, many suppliers will lie about who the manufacturer is, and will use big name manufacturer's just to sell product.

Same thing with some vendors, including US vendors ... they lie about who the manufacturer is because they know that using certain manufacturer names will sell more product. There a few vendors claiming to sell Hcigar, and they are not.

The Chinese manufacturers are different than in the US. Some manufacturers will have a contract to produce a specific name brand product for a company, and sell identical clones out the back door to other companies. This is major problem in China, which is illegal, and for the most part ignored. Sometimes, the clone is virtually the identical product from the same manufacturer, with only a small change; usually in a replaceable part such as an end cap or similar.
For the most part, manufacturers do not tool up specifically to copy someone else's product. The back door sales issue is rampant, and when contracting with a Chinese manufacturer to produce a proprietary product, in many cases, it won't be long until that same product starts showing up elsewhere as a clone. One of the ways this has been verified, is that sometimes the clones, have the exact same machine tool marks as the originals, indicating they were manufactured on the same machine equipment. Go figure, it's a little different there.

Somewhere out there
FT offers two KLF "russian" clones in to be co boxes, they only distinguish them as A and B, they even say in one of the listings that they are from different manufacturers. I bought their "A" version. Now that I look at the "B " version photos, it's the same as the the one I got from FC. Both have the same deep, square cut juice channels and short chimney section.

The box cloning thing has also gone on with Kanger products, and before that, with Vision Vivi Novas.
