Okay, I ordered myself this from fasttech:
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1438500

still awaiting shipment. I was wondering has anyone received theirs and if so I have a few questions:

1: What batteries do you use? Nipple or Flattop?

2: My batteries i received with my vamo are panasonic batteries (cgr18650ch)... they work great. will these work with the chi you clone?
I have read that both ends need to have the vinyl "overlap" on both ends to prevent it from auto firing. Is this true?
My batteries neg. end stop right at the end and the bottom is completely open for a contact with no extra vinyl overlapping the edge.

3: What setup do you prefer? 18350/18500/18650?
--- My main reason for asking is for feel for med. size hands, and definitely the biggest issue is the battery pin. Id like to have a setup that the pin could be the least unscrewed as possible to prevent it from falling off.

4: Being this is my first Mechanical mod, what are some do's and don'ts i should definitely know before getting my hands on it? (I.E.) since it doesn't prevent it from firing when battery is too low.. When do you change them out? Will something bad happen if I forget and vape vape away while battery is very low?

anything like that would be very grateful!

1. Either will work.

2. The Panasonic batteries you have will auto-fire, you might want to pick up some AW IMR's or MNKE's.

3. I prefer 18650, but that's different with everyone's setup; Depending on your coil setup, it's just personal preference.

4. You could permanently damage your battery if you discharge it far too low. You'll greatly decrease its life.
Once you start to see vapor production lessen, it's a sign to pop that battery out and charge it.

I ordered a chi you clone from fast tech, but haven't received it yet. What I did was rewrap my 18650ch with the battery shrink wrap fast tech sells.

Here is the wrap I used. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1323901

Alternatively, you could always just put the 18650ch battery in upside down. That will solve the auto firing problem.

i use flat top panasonics and some no-name flat tops i got from fasttech ( which have been damn decent batteries by the way..their orange not pink.. heres the link https://www.fasttech.com/p/1447305 ).

my setup procedure is
first i unscrew the top from the chi you completely and unscrew he center delrin insert. i then screw my tank on ( AGI usually) and then screw the pin back into place until it firmly contacts the bottom of the tank (you have to do this depending on what tank your using, so it sits flush). then i unscrew the smaller screw in the top about 1mm or so, and try it. this usually is good to go and everything snugs properly with no battery rattle. if by chance there IS a bit of rattle, i leave the top on, unscrew the tube in the center , reach up with my pinky finger and unscrew it a tad more, reinstall the battery and its good to go.

do remeber youll most times need to reset your small top center pin when you change your batteries!

ive had the original chi you and the clone both and have never had an accidental or auto-fire with either :)
