Finally got my second and third CYC. All ordered from FT.
The brass is really nice - great finish...but I still brushed it.
The stainless steel is great too.
Neither have the same 510 thread issue as my first one; though still slightly on the loose side - not anywhere near as bad as my first CYC.
Also, the first one I got has slightly different (lighter color) etching similar to the brass one I just got. But the serial # font is different.
The only other difference I noticed is the air flow holes - my first one has the center hole slightly higher than the other two; the new ones I just received are all evenly inline.
I'm glad I got the other two.

Far left is the first SS I got.
Of course they are pictured next to my FT hcigar nemmy clone, which I really like too :)

I noticed that my serial number is different than the fist clones too, plus my 510 is great. So there must have been a revision. My serial is squared off. Number 603. NH area code lol

Well, I put my order in on Monday. I thought it wouldn't get shipped till next week because of the holiday, but I just got a shipping notification! I wasn't expecting it quickly, but who knows. I'm in Southern California and it seems like those on the west coast get their orders pretty quickly. Maybe I'll have mine before Halloween!

Fingers crossed for good 510 threads!

Kemosabe, thanks for the update on your threads! Maybe I'll get a serial number that matches my area code.

Update on the brass version. After a week, the beautiful finish that I had at the start was just a memory... I decided to clean and polish it, and the "engravings" or should I say the printing faded away completely and all that is left is just about .1mm of actual engraving. And all the black of it was all over the tubes. It was a nightmare to get all that crap away... If only they could have done it the same as the SS version, that would have been perfect. But I ain't even mad. For the price :)

I got 2 chi you clones, a brass one and a SS one... They both have the same problems. The threading is loose and sometimes you can screw on your atomizer crooked possibly damaging the threading. If you are careful it screws on just fine though
The other problem is that i use 18500/490 batteries. The AW 18490 is too short, i can extend the top cap screw to make the battery fit but then the brass piece is sitting too low and it wont make contact with my atomizers.
The efest 18500 is too long and the kayfun wont screw all the way down and theres a big gap between the mod and the atomizer.
My efest 18650 wont work either cuz its too short
Anyone else having the same problems? What batteries are you guys using?

edit: The locking rings feel like they are made out of plastic? and it takes almost no effort to unscrew the pieces apart.

I only use 18650 batteries so I don't know about the other sizes but I have 3 different length 18650 batteries and they all fight just right after playing with the telescoping pin a bit. And for the locking ring, mine is clearly metal I even tightened it to hard and had to use wd40 to get it lose just keep the threading lubed now. Works like a charm now

Most the misfires happened because of the carto tank... High resistance for a mech mod

Hardly - Misfires are just that. Switch not closing circuit.

Higher resistance makes flow easier, batteries last longer and less chance of contact arch's causing premature failures.
