Okay, I'm fairly new and only have one ego-type battery that i got in the cheap blister-pack from MyFreedomSmokes. It works great for what I need it to do. I recently ordered this setup https://www.fasttech.com/products/1319909 for my mother as a starter kit. I checked the battery to make sure everything worked properly, but I'm not sure about the battery. My 650maH battery on the charger - blinks a few times(battery), charger light goes red and battery light goes off, charger light goes green when finished. Works the same way on the charger that came with the FT kit. However, putting the FT battery on the charger - battery blinks a few times and stays on (blue), charger changes to red blinking (every second). Does this with both chargers. Maybe it's a difference in battery/board, maybe it has to be down to a certain voltage before it will charge, I don't know. The battery is reading 4.0V right now and the center post seems good - I'm going to use it for a day and try charging after it's run down a little. Does anybody else have a battery/charger combination that acts like this? Bad battery, or not?

I've got an ego battery from FT and that's the behavior it exhibits -- blue light flashes then stays on, charger light goes red but blinking rapidly -- the button light will go out and the charger light will go green when the battery is charged. Different batteries will have different charging circuitry and behavior.
Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I've only got the other ego-style to compare to, so I wasn't sure. I would have assumed they all used the same circuit board internally or exhibited the same behavior.
