I made an account at fasttech on the 14th of this month and put in my first order with them. I checked my email and used the link given therein to confirm the email address and activate the account. The page that link took me to said my account was now activated and that I could go on to utilize the forums, etc. There was no place to input the activation code that was also in the email. I still cannot use the forums on the fasttech site. I can give kudos, but not post/respond. I have had this browser open since then without logging out of the account for fear of losing the possibilities of tracking my pending shipment and conversing with support.
I have a support ticket open concerning this issue, but the person assigned to this case does not seem to be very fluent in English. In my initial support request, I open by mentioning that I clicked the activation link found within the confirmation email they sent me. I then state that I found nowhere on the linked page or anywhere else on their site to input the activation code that was in the email. The first response I received simply explained that I must click the activation link in the confirmation email sent to me and then use the activation code. It also asked that I copy/paste the email I received from them. I did so. Then, they simply tell me (again!) that I must click the link provided in the email and use the activation code. Of course, all I can do at this point is tell them that I have, in fact done so. The next response simply asks for a screenshot of the problem I am having! How the heck do I take a screenshot of a non-existent activation code form?!
Today, I made a second account with a different computer and email address to see if logging out and logging back in would allow the activation to "take." It did not. After utilizing the emailed activation link (still no place for "activation code" input) and then logging out, the site will not even allow me to log back in. It tells me the email address is invalid; the same GMail address of mine they sent the activation email to. I attempted this second account with all browser extensions turned off - just in case.
Can somebody please tell me how their account verification successfully went down? For now, I'm operating under the assumption that the site's account verification system has been recently borked by it's developers.
