Contacting ECF

I tried last night and today to use the contact link and got the error code 503 back saying service not available. I have a question about how a new member got my personnel email address. He sent me personnel email wanting to buy a product I used to make. he did not go through the ECF PM system. His email contained an email from ECF for activation of his account. His info is; Your Username is: juice Dude Your Activation ID is: 3839d3638c9cf09f8f7abff56872df64fb064214
He also sent me a friends request, I did a search and his user name does not come up.
I just don't understand how person in the process of activating a new account can get personal information on a member.

OK thanks for the heads-up. We will get our Forum coder to investigate this, to see if it is a security breach or something that needs fixing.

We'll report back on this as it is an issue that needs a resolution, but please expect several days for this to be investigated & fixed.

I did have the option " Receive Email from Other Members" checked in my settings. It is now changed and not checked. But this guy was not even a member yet?? I guess it is not a problem after all it just seemed kind of strange.

I got it in at 11:31 pm

Yeah, he joined before about an hour before that. I don't believe guests would have an option to email folks seeing as how it says "Receive Email from Other Members"

Ok guys thanks for the quick response and clarification, I guess this is a non problem. Just being security paranoid. The contact us link still does not work though.
