Hey everybody! So I just got my first order from fasttech about 5 minutes ago and I gotta say I'm impressed. With all the rants and bad reviews I was half expecting a melted pile of scrap metal and slag covered in eliquid and stuffed inside an envelope.

What I got was a tidy little bubble mailer, taped extra secure. Everything inside was neatly bubble wrapped and taped with a semi-well written invoice and a thank you note for ordering. The mailer even smelled a little bit fruity, not sure why as none of my liquid leaked a single drop. All of this from Order placed to arrival was 9 days, and I ordered at the start of a weekend and it had to come to the middle of the U.S.

So to everybody who is contemplating ordering from fasttech and isn't sure about it. I'd say give it a try for yourself. Don't go balls out and drop 300 bucks on your first order. I dropped 31 dollars and got a new vv battery, new dripper, and 60ml of juice.

For anybody interested check back in a few and i'll review the build quality of the:

So I'll start with the first link up there which is the v10 Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (RDA)

Packaged nicely inside a plastic wrap with a SKU sticker on it, and then inside bubble wrap. The package contains the Dripper and a hex wrench for adjusting the screws. Exterior and Interior of the dripper are all in good condition. The included stainless drip tip and top cover came off easily enough with a little finger wiggle. The bottom cap seems to be stuck on a bit firmer, or maybe it's just because there's nothing on it to use as leverage. Atleast not with my large american fingers...time for the multitool..pop! There we go.

So now that I got it all apart it seems in good shape. O-rings are mostly intact except one of the orings on the bottom of the bottom cap has been slightly shaved by the machine press fitting.

The coils are semi-neatly wrapped with 5/6 wrap of super microscopic gauge wire and some silica wicks, niether of which I'm going to use as i'll be putting my own ribbon microcoils in it with cheesecloth wicks.

It does have an insulated center post and small hex top screws. They appear to be SS posts, if they aren't they're atleast well plated.

The inside of this thing does have quite a bit of the machining leftovers in it, mainly shrapnel shards that I wouldn't dare to put near my mouth. And a small barely noticeable residue of machining oil.

It comes with 1 airhole pre-drilled, which is counter-intuitive for a pre-built dual coil setup. But I knew that already and was prepared for some tinkering. But at 5 bucks and some change I can't complain.

Stay tuned for my Battery review.

Just an FYI update: 0.4mm Ribbon Kanthal is just barely small enough to nicely fit through the pre-drilled holes on the posts 2 times over. If you have .5mm ribbon(or equivalent guage) or higher you're gonna have to drill them.

And it fits and screws in fully to my standard 510 ego connection and makes post contact.

Now time for the semi-expensive 18 dollar ego style 3-6V battery. It ships in the box shown in the pictures, green and says ego-vv on it with a picture and fit inside a plastic sleeve with a SKU sticker.

Inside the box sits a small instructional card with a couple warnings however I'm a bit worried now as I paid for an 1100mah battery and the little card it came with says 650mah... but it is a very long battery tube compared to my standard 650mah ego, about 2.5-3 times the length actually. If I had a way to test it I would, and eventually i'll know from use, and/or crack it open and peek at the battery for any markings.

It all seems intact and the finish is well protected but wait! I just lifted out the included cardboard battery holder and below I found a real instruction pamphlet with the letters SLB on the corner. So to verify this is a genuine SaiLeBao corporation product. Better then I was expecting. Inside the instructions it states it is the Ego-V V2 model, with a regular having a size of 114mmx14mm and 650mah. The mega has a size of 129mmx17mm and 1200 mah...measuring now.. hmm, the entire length of the mod is 6.25" and the length of just the battery tube part below the power button is 5 and 3/8" both are larger then 129mm.. so now I'm a bit confused. Guess i'll find out as I use it but first I have to charge it.

Inside the instruction pamphlet is the standard ohm/watt/volt picture chart that you can find on google. And some life predictions of the battery, 300 charge cycles approximately and a 3-4hour charge time for the mega model.

Also included is a USB to microusb charging cable for the passthrough looking charger.

This is all I can really say for it at the time being. It appears to be the SLB EGO-V V2 MEGA for under 18 bucks at FT. I'll report back with more info as I learn it. And whether or not the passthrough mode works on this model as the earlier versions didn't.

Measurements update: After properly calibrating my on screen ruler...and checked it with a real but way to short ruler.. It measures in at 4 and 3/4 inches for the battery tube, and 5 and 3/8 inches including the connection. Niether of which fits their description still but it's slightly more accurate.

Happy happy joy joy! The battery is fully functional with my existing CE4 clearo. Oh and as for USB passthrough mode...
...

....

It works amazingly well. It also came to me fully charged, well the battery indicator on the display says 4 bars anyways but i'll top it off just to be sure. And has a working puff counter on the display.

This is well worth the 18 bucks.

Did I mention it's 3 to 6 volts, not the standard 4.2 or 4.8vv limit.

I'm super stoked now! time to get to cleaning and coiling my RDA and giving that new juice a whirl. I've neglected my poor coffee cup and now my coffee is cold but I'm ok with that.

Did you review them on fasttech as well? Some of their stuff is good stuff no doubt, i feel like i know what to avoid there and what not to avoid, and tend to order stuff from there at least once a month. A lot of it is adapters and chargers for stereo and phones and computer stuff as well. There is a huge fasttech thread and I, and i expect others look for the review on fasttech on the product pages
