FastTech orders shipped by boat

It has now been 1 month and 1 week since I made my order to fasttech.

I got an email from them stating the order actually shipped on July 24 ... As of today, that's 2 days short of 1 month.

There were no batteries or liquids in the order. In fact all that was ordered was (2 ea) clear plastic replacement Kayfun atomizer tank sections.

The reason I am thinking that this stuff ships by boat is the fact that when I ship a 3' x 3' box to the Philippines from California via container ship, it takes 1 month to get there.


So, considering that the Philippines is about the same distance from LA as Hong Kong is, I am thinking these FastTech orders too come by container ship .... Thus the 1 month + delivery times.

If the order came via air, it would take but a couple of days ... In fact, my son sent me a small package from Osaka, Japan, and it arrived here in Florida within 5 days.

Or the package got lost. Any order I've had for something under $5 has been "Lost" by USPS. I am not saying this is true for everyone, just my own personal experience.

My first FastTech order was under 6 bucks for an RDA along with the free shipping and took about 45 days to get to me.

My last order of 30 kanger coils were received in a week from me ordering. It all seems to depend on the dollar amount of what you order and what kind of shipping you qualify for.

Which shipping method did you choose? I ordered stuff last Wednesday and it's in ISC SAN FRANCISCO (USPS) today. I should have it Monday or Tuesday.

I usually average 10 business days from date of initial shipping.

You never know with fasttech. I ordered a plum veil drip tip for $1.36 that was shipped Aug 14th without tracking of course (too small of an order). And another taifun GT for $21.36 on Aug 18th with tracking of course.

I'm pretty sure I will get the taifun before the drip tip, will be interesting when I get the drip tip lol. Hadn't used fasttech for a while and had one order before this one that took 10 days, so decided to give them another shot and didn't need the gear right away anyways.

this is why i don't use fasttech anymore....ordered something in may i think...split into two packages, only received one of them and it took around 50ish days, no thank you

They don't call them Slowtech for nothing.

I've had mixed experience with them. Some orders take a month and some are here in a week or two.

I've come to expect a long wait, so I don't order from them if I need my item in a hurry.

If you pay the $1.39 for upgraded shipping instead of using the free shipping option, it'll usually take between 7-12 days to Central US. This is assuming everything is in stock.

If you utilized the free shipping option, it states quite clearly on their website that it takes around 30 days.

So it's been 28-29 days so far, so expect your package any day now.

I said on another thread that ordering from fasttech is almost like a dark art. There are tips and tricks to get the most out of the experience. Making sure you order in-stock merch and upgrading the shipping are two of the most important.

i ordered 5 replacement icleaar16 atties and received them in 8 days.
i used the 1.99 dollar shipping option though.
for small part count low cost free orders they may be accumulating enough orders
to get a better bulk shipment deal from the carriers.

not all carriers have banned shipments of batteries and or liquids by air. USPS,UPS,FEDEX,
have various restrictions.fast tech got caught up trying to find new carriers to ship their products.
Singapore Post and Air Netherlands will ship by air but,don't have the huge daily schedule of the other carriers.

I didn't pay extra for shipping [but] it says "Shipping via International Airmail"

I am calling a BS on that .... There is no possible way that airmail takes more than 1 month!

Jeeeze ... I have flown many many times between LAX and Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific ... it's averages to be an 11 hour flight ... Not 1 month!

Every order I have made took less than 2 weeks. I'm waiting on 2 orders right now. One was Shipped on 8-16-14 and it shows hitting the ISC New York(USPS) on 8-21-14. So I should have it any day now. The other order just showed up in tracking.

Don't know what to tell you.

I usually get mine in about a week when I use epacket. One time I didn't do the shipping upgrade and it took a month.
My last order was $15, shipping was 50cents. That's a no brainer.

On Aug 15th I ordered a protank 3, 50 pre-wicked coils, a drip tip and a ego drip tip adapter, it all arrived this morning, took 7 days to get from Fast Tech to my P.O. box in BC Canada.

Well, your obviously correct, but the fact remains that this FastTech stuff comes out of Hong Kong, and a flight from Hong Kong to LAX is about 10.5 hours, while a flight from Hong Kong to New York is about 13 hours.

How they turn it into 1 month is beyond me.

Rule #1 with FT has ALWAYS been order a minimum of $15 (free upgrade) or pay for the upgrade (generally a really tiny amount).

As skoony said, your package is probably leap frogging its way across Asia and Europe, riding in whatever cheap nook or cranny it can be shoved into, along its path to your door.

When you're talking about a $3 transaction that they likely made pennies on after PP fees/shipping etc, you can't expect them to be too concerned about the speed of how the product is shipped, unless you pay the tiny bit to upgrade it.

I know it sucks, but try dealing with VaporBreak, no matter how you ship with them it will take a month. They once sent my package to Sweden en-route to me...lol.

Ft on the other hand has never taken longer than 16 days on 10 different orders.

Man... Chances are they will Release a New Model of what ever you Bought by the Time you get your Order.

I placed an Order on 8-6-14 for a Hana DNA 30 Clone. It came with an eFest 18650 Included. Thought it would take Forever to get to me. But I got it Yesterday (8-21-14).

The Option for Registered Air Mail was Available. So of course, I checked it.
