Dear valued customers,

Singapore Post had proven to be a reliable carrier for many months and fasttech was pleased to be able to offer it as an option to all customers.

Unfortunately, they have caused fasttech a lot of grief in the recent week -- mostly due to the way their management works, as exposed by the recent postal union's battery "crackdown". Without going into lengthy details, Singapore Post's management has told fasttech that products with built-in batteries can be shipped but their frontline staffs often reject these packages claiming it's an order from the management, causing unnecessary delays to packages.

Hong Kong Post, on the other hand, has almost returned to normal operations.

For the interest of customers, FastTech is temporarily taking the Singapore Post shipping offline until a clearer policy and more professional practice is received from them.

If your order is pending to be shipped via Singapore Post, it will either continue to ship via Singapore Post, or it will be re-routed to Hong Kong Post. Again, Hong Kong Post's service performance is improving everyday and is almost back to the pre-crackdown state.

We apologize for this inconvenience. We will continue communicating with Singapore Post and we will restore this shipping option as soon as their current issues are resolved.

The irony of it. Only 2 of my orders that actually were shipped took the Singapore way 5 days ago. The rest are 20 days at HK post without even the accepted status. Except 2 of 3 packages that FT claims it retrieved from the post and reshipped with new tracking numbers. That makes 4 out of 10, and I guess I should be happy. But I'm complaining only because is very hard to get anything in my country. I'm spending a LOT of money here for very overpriced stuff.

I wish SGP would come back as a shipping method. I've had really good experiences with them. Unfortunately, the last package I have that is being sent SGP is arriving tomorrow and after that, it's HKP. Ugh...

Singapore Post is expected to be again available as an option soon per FT officials..

All my orders in the last few days were shipped via Singapore. This option was not available on checkout.

FT is using it internally on a trial basis now to see how it works out before they make it an option again available to the customers at checkout..

I wish the trial run ends quickly so i can start to order via SGP again, the fastest was 10 days to my door, including 2 days handling by my local PO, HKP usually takes 20 days and China Post stepped up to the challenge (last order took 12 days to my door) but they usually take 30 days.

Swiss Post, a new option at FT, which stops in Zurich Switzerland may be worth a try...so far the few who have used it get tracking info quick and I know of 1 guy who had a delivery in 3 days..(not the norm I'm sure though)

Batteries are only allowed if they are installed inside some enclosing devices. These include mods, emergency chargers, lasers, flashlights, etc.

If you want to ship bare batteries, choose Swiss post

Singapore Post now available again from Geek at FT

We are pleased to announce that recent shipments made via Singapore Post has been successful.

Singapore currently has a 3-day average local processing time, which seems to be nominal compared to that taken by Hong Kong Post and China Post.
