Anyone have any experience with these knockoffs? I bought some Kanger Protank heads by mistake. Anyone know if they're compatible with the knockoff pt2?

Not that it matters a ton, but which one is it, have a link?

They should work fine in it either way.

Kanger stopped making EVOD heads - you now get "Protank/EVOD" coils for either ProTank or EVOD. Or, presumably, a ProTank clone.
The T3 though, as you noticed, does have a different flange.

What's interesting is you CAN use your T3 head in a ProTank (but not the other way round).
You might try that...but your real coils should fit your FT PTank, too.

This one. They show evod heads as compatible for replacement. I had purchased the Protank heads to use in my T3Ss, but the flange is too wide.

They will work.

For some weird reason Kanger still has 3 head types floating around (though the EVOD head are discontinued, i believe).

The EVOD and Protank heads are essentially the same aside from the stem length on the head, and are interchangeable. The T3s heads are nearly identical to EVOD/PT heads aside from that flange you refer to. Due to this difference the T3s heads WILL work in EVOD/PT's but EVOD/PT heads WILL NOT work in T3s's.

If the coils can't be rebuilt (as they indicate on these $5.86 Protank-2 BCC Clearomizer (3.5mL) - translucent / 2.4ohm / removable drip tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping ) - over time how can the cheap-o knockoff be less expensive if you burn through coils 'clones' or not?

Genuine Kanger coils are $7.77 delivered (Yes - clones are $4.00+ I know so maybe chuckin' 'em is OK) --- I just get Genuine quickly and like 'em so pay for 'em in spite of the price.

With the pre-made coils and wicks available from FastTech for less tan $3.00 for 50 and so easy to put in - it's a semi-sin to chuck coil units. If you are chucking the clone coils (???? did I misunderstand???) it's a waste isn't it? Rebuild the Genuine OR clones so cheaply and easily.

Senile Old Man Don......... waitin' on the pre-mail coils-wicks from FT.

You confused me along the way, although it sounded right at the beginning. I read some of the reviews and it seems like some received coils reading 3.4 and up for ohms, which is way to much for a Protank.

I lost you when you said you can get 50 protank coils for $3.00. When i bought my first Kanger Mini Protank 4 months ago I also purchased 5 boxes of Kanker coils. Since then I purchased 2 more Kanger mini protanks and 1 Protank. I don't recoils the wicks at all. All I do is dry burn them and put on a new flavor wick. I still have 2 boxes of new Kanger coils left. In the 4 months of rotating them only 5 have burnt out. I use only Kanger coils because they work and they have yet to cause a leak.
