Hey all!

I've been vaping for sometime and as many of you all do, I LOVE clones. Getting started, I never really felt too safe trusting the highly notorious (or esteemed) fasttech.com for clones. I tended to shell out the extra money to buy more notable shipping-from-US clones such as Infinite, EHPRO, Tobeco, etc. and only used fasttech for non electrical components such as drip tips and custom caps for RBA's like the Kraken.

But, nowadays a lot of vapers I meet all order from fasttech and their mod didn't seem different from mine, at least too much. What seems to be the deal against fasttech from the more experienced vapers? I really want a Lotus mod clone and can't seem the find one from anywhere other than fasttech or twice as much from another shop.

What makes fasttech cheaper? Does the cheaper price result in cheaper performance? Are these clones worse than other clones, and how worse? Are they safe?

(I did try the Gaia RDA from there but gave it to a friend. The post holes seemed to be non-centered but firing wise, it seemed to hit decently solid.)

Well firstly, FastTech takes forever to ship (to the US). My first (and only) order with them took about a month and a half to arrive. By the time it came, I had already picked up some different gear at a B&M.

Secondly, they sold me a fake ProTank. And it didn't say "ProTank Clone" or anything, it was advertised as a Kanger ProTank. I was really disappointed, and realized that the lower price had to be because it was not authentic. Comparing it to my friends' ProTanks made some obvious differences VERY clear.

Idk, I'd just rather support companies within the US. It's a matter of preference/what's convenient to you.

Fasttech do not sell fakes.
They usually label something as a clone if it's a clone. Sometimes they will note something as a X 'style'.

If they say it's genuine, it is - at least in my and many, many other forum users experience. If you want a genuine X, look for the word genuine in the product description and you can be pretty sure it is.

Nyiddle - Please can you post the SKU of the item that you bought? If they are selling clones labelled as Genuine or Kanger protank, then this is a big departure from their normal business practice and one that I am sure a lot of forum members would be interested to learn.

Fasttech basically cut out the middle-man. They buy from vendors located in their own country and sell directly to us.

As for shipping, I usually get my items (assuming in stock) in around 10-12 days. You just have to not use the free shipping and check the USPS first class option (and pay the $1.25)

I'm all for supporting US companies when they add value to a product by either giving me an experience, imparting knowledge or even providing jobs to my community.

But when that same vape store just orders from FT and tries to sell me that $16 clone for $50, then I'm going to FT and make no apologies for doing so.

Post is already long but just to the OP - you can view their product reviews and check out their own forum over there to see which items are of good quality and work as advertised. I've seen FT pull products or stop using a particular factory as a vendor because of poor user reviews on their website.

Finally, there are a couple of massive fasttech threads over in the general vaping forum, and there is a dedicated FT forum FastTech

Everything said above, especially the part about your local store buying $16 mods and selling them for $50. I can't go for that, no can do. ;)

The is a VAST user network on Fasttech between the forums and the product discussions. Read up on anything you want to buy. For popular items there may be pages and pages of reviews and discussions.

Personally I love FT, BUT you just have to be patient and understand that once in a while you'll get a stinker, especially if you're buying something that hasn't been on the site long. I can deal with that and have been pleased with all my purchases, even the ones I didn't like. I'll order stuff just to see if I like it, if I don't oh well, what's a $9 rda? I'll survive.

I have an Orchid V2 from Fasttech sitting in my mailbox right now. Gotta go out into the rain to get it sooner or later.

Just got my second order from fasttech. dna 30 clones with batteries to my door in 11 days. kinda stunned after all the horror stories I have heard about buying stuff from them with batteries. The mods actually beat the atty here.

My first order was super slow but that was because i picked something that ships in "5 days". They eventually split my order into two shipments.

I am just plugging through some RDA's that interest me. when I find a clone I really really like I will be willing to pop on the original. Tried out a veritas clone and just don't like it enough to mess with. Even after opening up the airflow and all it is just not airy enough for me. so i got to check it out for $9

It's already been stated but the one thing that I like about Fasttech is that they index forum discussions to products so that you can follow discussions and get a sense of what's going on. Angelcigs ships from the US and Focal ships select products from the US, but they don't have the user network like FT.

It's true. If I have any issues with an item I buy on FT I can usually sort it out by checking the forum or product discussions.

I like FT. The Vamo v3 that I bought for my daughter was identical to the one in a local B&M, box and all, only 1/3 the cost. Currently awaiting a v5 for myself and a protank v2 (their current buzzword for actual Kanger products is 'authentic')
I plan to get the Russian 91% style and the Kayfun Lite plus v2 style very soon. They are both 1:1 clones.
I was disappointed with the protank style replacement coils. Just did not taste right for me. No problems with the T2 coils though.

I've purchased from FT three or four times and had good experiences every time. Sure, shipping takes 10 to 12 days from China to Cali, but that's not an unreasonable amount of time to wait, considering the low, low prices. If you haven't already done so, you might want to try angelcigs.com. They're like FT, only smaller, but their advantage is they have a warehouse in So Cal, so shipping is more like 3 or 4 days. You also should check out beyondvape. They have really nice prices for what you get. I guess the key to the equation, as always, is "you get what you pay for." That being said, I'm not spending $120 for an overpriced original, but I'm not paying $20 for a cheaply-made clone either. Keep on Vaping.

There are essentially three things you need to know about FT before placing an order.

- Read discussions on any item you plan to buy.
- Check stock levels. Anything not 'in stock' is a gamble. May or may not be stocked at estimated time.
- Don't take free shipping on orders below $20. Pay the extra dollar or two.

Ignore this advice and you may end up waiting a month+ for a lemon.
