So today my new eGo finally arrived, the last 5 days seemed like a lifetime waiting on it. I immediately took to charging the first battery even though I really wanted to jump right into trying it out, I held off until I had a full battery. Once I charged the first one I put in the 2nd one and everything seemed fine at first. I had to go out of town for a bit and when I returned the red LED on the charger was rapidly blinking. This didn't happen with the first one, it just stayed red until it was charged and then turned green.

Now, I'm familiar with the red/green blinking that USB chargers do, my first experience with it was on my 901 and it at first caught me off guard until I realized what was happening. This however, is different. It was only blinking red. So I put the first battery back in to see if it also would blink and it didn't, just solid red LED. I took it back out and put the one that had been blinking back in and it was still blinking. I left it alone for a few minutes and when I checked again it was solid green.

So...to summarize:
I get a blinking red LED on one battery but not the other while charging. It now appears that both batteries are charged since I'm getting solid green light but just not sure wbout the whole thing. I don't see why it would blink red with one battery and not the other and want to be sure that it's safe to use or should I ask the merchant for a refund since it's brand new?

Anyone else have experience like this or know what's going on? Like I said, they both appear to have charged, just not sure why one would blink and not the other. Also not sure why it would blink red and not red/green like my other charger.

I would vape each battery a while and put them back on charge and watch them closely. The transition to charge termination (red to green) isn't instantaneous and can vary depending on the state of charge when you started charging.
When a cell goes from red to solid green take it off for a little while and put it back on charge. It should stay green. A few puffs and it should start at red.

Until you have used it a few times and verified it seems to be working correctly (or not) I would be cautious about leaving it unattended like going to town, or going to sleep. Establish a nice safe nonflammable place to perform your charging.
(not next to the gas can out by the hot water heater :))
