Btw, what's the "Kick"? Does anyone have a short explanation of what it is? I have no idea.

The kick is a drop in module made by Evolv for many 18... tub modes. It's uses wattage control like the Darwin instead of voltage for adjustment. The advantage is once you set it to a wattage everything you connect to it will be set to that same wattage. It uses a small screw on the module to adjust the wattage which is kind of a pain but once you get it set you really don't have to adjust it that much due to every atty/carto being set to that wattage.

If you use dual core regularly I wouldn't recommend it but otherwise it makes a great low cost solution for turning a tube mod into variable wattage, I use it in the Bolt, works great. If you want to go that route and funds are limited you could go with the Bolt now and be using it then save up for the Kick. You'd have a variable watt mod for around $90. Crystal Clear vaping has a good price on the Bolt that includes free shipping. If you order it be sure to pick up one or two extensions for when you get the kick.

Happy Birthday!! Yes, the bolt is a good option. CCV sells them for $37.50 and free shipping. It takes a 18500 batt (one is included with the mod) and you would need a charger for it. I don't know what your current device uses but the charger for that might be able to charge the 18500. I buy most all of my vaping "stuff" from ccv.. good person to deal with, reasonable prices and free shipping.

I actually bought a roughstack and a bolt for my wife. Other than the different switch positions, I don't see a lot of difference. The naalox is a good suggestion for the threads corroding.

One you might not have considered is the EVO. They have them at eloctro nix stix. It's a VV but not the usual type. It switches between 4V, 4.5, and 5V. There is a newer version that some sites are calling the 3VO that also has a 3.7V setting.

Thanks for alla the great recomendations! I'll have to get some Noalox, or whatever its called. Though this Roughstack is gonna end up going back to Madvapes as soon as i have something else to use. Seriously, lol.

But, its far far better then one of those ecigs that look like cigarettes. So i'm glad i have at least that lol.

I'm super excited, i might actually be able to get my Saber touch, which for some reason i have wanted for a really long, long time. I'm either gonna do purple or penny vein metalic. I did get some friends donate to the cause as my birthday gift. Which rocks. :) It was between that or a couple others.

I like that the Sabertouch has a Flashlight attachment which i think is a great idea for going through airports, i like the Passthrough function you can purchase, i like pretty much all of it. i think it rocks. I also really LOVE the caps that portrude from the tube itself, if i drop it which does happen with me without fail, it will protect the paint from chipping in most cases. And i really am glad about that.

Plus the button, which i think is really neat, the great warranty, the truth is i just like that one a lot. :)

So, hopefully!! :beams: :)
