Ive had my dna 30 clone for about 2 or 3 months now. I always watch a video on the newest and coolest coil, go build it. Most of them take forever to heat up and I end up ripping it out and building a .8-1 ohm micro coil and stick with that. Right now im vaping a .6ohm tiger coil, and while its good, I dont think i notice much of a difference. Dont think its worth the trouble of twisting the wire and what not. Now I know plenty of you will say, get a mechanical, but im not in the market for that. Anyone recommend me a killer build?

It all depends on your atomizer.

How so, arent they all more or less the same? A positive and negative post? I have a tobh, holmes and the atomic.

I am using a single 1 ohm micro in a TugboatV2 at 15 watts, I love it.

Yea thats my normal set up give or take. Just get bored sometimes. The few different builds ive tried I dont really notice too much of a difference.

The way they deliver power is pretty much the same, but the difference will be in the airflow and positioning of the coils in your atomizer of choice. This will make different builds better or worse.

For example, the airflow in my Stillare allows me to run a 0.5 ohm 2mm ID 28g parallel coil comfortably. My Magma does much better with a simple 1 ohm 1.4mm ID 28g single micro.

I just started doing this with my dna30... because they are perfect for it and I think its the ultimate for dna devices.

Try going for 1. more coil surface (known to give you better flavor because more surface for the juice to vaporize off of)
2. thinner wire; and more voltage: thinner wire cools down faster and dna's can kick the voltage (up to 8v)
At the same time the watts stay lower ...

i.e. (I have a couple single coil atomizers doing this but I'm sure dual coils will give you even more surface)
1.7 ohms 30g wire about 10wraps on 2mm ID drill bit or green blunt needle. Set at 15 watts you're putting about 6volts and you can go up as you like.
2 ohms and hit it with more voltage.
I getting great flavor, good response, great vapor, and NO burning.

This is with single coils RTA and RDA.
I'm sure if you go duals and more voltage (since you get good air) you can kick the volts and watts higher and get a great vape.

At least give it a try; i think that's the strength of DNA devices.

If you want to go super low and thick wire, yep get a mech and kick up the wattage but that's a different animal.

From a subohm guys perspective, whos goal is a DENSE, MOIST lung fill, with good flavor(and honestly i dont care about clouds brah, but it imevitably happens when you want a dense moist flavourful vape), my personal favorite coil for a regulated vape

Single Coil, 1.5-1.8ohm. I like 28 or 26g. The coil ends up being much longer than anything Id build for a mech, and when you're dry firing it, it seems like it takes a long time to glow. But when you VAPE IT, it vapes right away.

I only have one regulated device, its a Hana V3. I pretty much always run it at 30w. Sometimes Ill go down to 23-25w, but yeah usually its maxed at 30w.

    The State of Confusion
I am using a single 28ga. Micro Coil @ 1.7 ohms @ 18 watts and am very happy with the results.

I imagine I could go higher on the wattage, but haven't as of yet with the above build.

Zen Zna Lite, and a Taifun Dripper

Due to the fact that the DNA 30 will not properly regulate voltage / wattage under 1 ohm, I try to keep all my builds a bit over by using 28 - 32 ga wire.

Anything much bigger than 28ga will usually result in a sub ohm coil and the DNA really was not designed (nor any regulated APV) for this. :vapor:

well single coil dripper tanks like Taifun (?) are not best when going deep sub ohms... but dual coil RDA's with all that air can handle them no problem.

as far as DNA devices, I've used sub ohms on them without a problem (other than short batt times)... .7 to 1 ohms seems to be fine with them and i could probably go down.

in fact i just got a DNA40 Flask and right now since I don't have the Ni200 wire yet, it has a kanthal .80 coil at 19w on a tank dripper. Works great.
