Strong flavors go well with strong flavor drinks.
Sweet flavors work well with sweeter drinks, but it is generally a bad idea to match niquid flavors with liquid flavors (i.e. Pina Colada vape with a Pina Colada drink, etc).
Coffee, Tobacco, menthol/mint, or some citrus go well with most beer.

Hmmmm. I bet a citrus would be good. What is a good citrus juice? I'm pretty new to all this but so far have figured out that I'm not real big on any real sweet juices so far.

I've always been a beer girl. In fact I discovered a new (to me!) beer by one of my favorite brewing companies tonight (Somersault by New Belgium -- hopefully I get to visit the brewery on my trip to CO this week!!!). When I drink, I need something that has a punch...

Usually a tobacco of SOME KIND. Tonight it's PureCig (FSUSA).. But tomorrow it could be Casablanca (BWB) or Smooth (BlueMist). I go for hard TH when drinking -- because (aside from after dinner, which is only a mild case of it), it's the only time I crave the throat hit. I used to wonder if it was "the beer that makes the cigarette go down better, or the cigarette that makes the beer go down better."

Now I vape, and can actually enjoy both (yay tastebuds!).

When I first started on the ecigs, I was quite happy with the premixed tobacco flavours from TW, like Hilton etc. But as my newly nonsmoking tastebuds returned to life, and after experiencing milder fruit, spice and mentholated blends like Patriot Range Patti's Wicked Mint, I then found those old flavours much too acrid and harsh tasting.
After trying every tobacco flavour on TW and failing to find anything palatable I thought I was done with baccy flavours for good. But when I was looking at the exotic flavorings on the italian flavour arts website (their main business is food flavourings), I noticed they were also doing their own "luxury" tobacco flavour blends. I ordered a bottle of their "seven leaf" flavouring.

When it arrived I was surprised to see that it was GREEN. I mixed it up to 24mg with some VG and put out in a LR 510 in my Silver Bullet with a big 3.7V battery.

It tasted raw, bitter and as green as it looked. Certainly nothing like any tobacco I ever smoked. So I put it aside and went on to experiment with mint and black pepper blends.

When I ran out of my last batch of minty black pepper yesterday I was rummaging around in my box of e-liquid mixing odds and ends when I noticed that the seven leaf mixture, having been exposed to the light for a while, had turned a rich dark brown. That looks a bit more like it, I thought, and I tried some in my SB as before. It now tasted rich, fragrant and mellow like really expensive cigarettes of the sort you get in 5 star hotels. I was overjoyed. After two years of experimentation I've finally found the perfect vape. And I'm pleased to report it goes great with a decent pint of bitter. Yum!
