I'm beginning to dislike TFA Pear. I've been trying to using it as a wettener but it seems to do the opposite.

Did you try adding cactus? Pear also is great with dragon fruit.I'm beginning to dislike TFA Pear. I've been trying to using it as a wettener but it seems to do the opposite.

I have. I love Cactus. I have to be careful not to use too much. I think it definitely "wettens" more than Pear but I'm still looking for that tastiest one.Did you try adding cactus? Pear also is great with dragon fruit.
I can't be much help there I'm afraid, found a pear combo I enjoy. Do have RF VG steeping at home, need to give it a taste. Have you tried saline yet?I have. I love Cactus. Not yet, I keep forgetting to. Is it usually just a few drops needed?I can't be much help there I'm afraid, found a pear combo I enjoy. Do have RF VG steeping at home, need to give it a taste. Have you tried saline yet?
I haven't tried saline myself but trust those that use it. I can't remember % used. @IDJoel has a good post about using saline somewhere. Have thought about using some in a smallish 240ml base mix.Not yet, I keep forgetting to. Is it usually just a few drops needed?

One or two drops in a 3mL tank is usually sufficient. If I am adding it to an entire recipe; I keep it to 1.5% or less.I haven't tried saline myself but trust those that use it. So if I were mixing my usual vg/dw base replace maybe 1% of dw with saline? One or two drops in a 3mL tank is usually sufficient. If I am adding it to an entire recipe; I keep it to 1.5% or less.
Note: I personally use saline more as a "seasoning" (like I would use table salt on food), rather than to add perceived "moistness." It can also be helpful reining in certain "harsh" notes (esp. citrus). Though, I suppose, the trace amount of sodium might(?) be enough to trigger some folks salivary glands. And, therefore, lessen the "dry-mouth" feeling? I don't know; I'll have to pay more attention the next time I use it.![]()
Sounds reasonable; though I am not sure about committing 240mL of base without trying it first. So if I were mixing my usual vg/dw base replace maybe 1% of dw with saline?
Thanks, maybe just a couple 15ml testers.Sounds reasonable; though I am not sure about committing 240mL of base without trying it first.I can't think of anything (in my own personal mixing) that it has made "worse." But, I don't use it in every mix either. I kind of religate it to the same class of additives as MTS Vape Wizard, and EM. It is a "final thought" ingredient. The recipe is good; but there is still just a "little something" that is missing.
I would not be surprised if it couldn't/wouldn't help more recipes than what I have tried it in. But, I am not sure I would be ready to commit a whole batch of unflavored base, to its use either.![]()
