Yes. But it is not true absinth that they sell here. It has southern wormwood instead of real wormwood. southern woormwood does not have the same hallucinogenic properties as real wormwood. Which is why it was outlawed in the first place. ;) but it does taste the same.

That's news to me that they lifted the ban on certain absinthe. They should on all of it, as the whole seeing a green fairy deal is way overly exaggerated. I've had "real" absinthe and the truth is, ya just get drunk. It's an interesting story behind absinthe, wiki has a good article on it, but there is no hallucinogenic effects from wormwood. It is an interesting flavor of green anise, fennel, and other herbals.

For the OP, I haven't had a lot of those juices that suppose to represent brand items like "Mountain Do" or "Red Cow." I do agree with the person who compared Halo's Shamrock to Junior Mints, first thing I thought when I tried it. From The Plume Room, Magic Mellon Medley tastes a lot like Fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA and Candied Cavendish has a banana flavor that's spot on to banana Runts to me. I've yet to try any colas but I would love a Coke vape.

I've had "real" absinthe and the truth is, ya just get drunk.

That's almost word for word what I tell people about absinthe! I've tried 9 different bottles from 7 different countries and none of them had any magical qualities. It's even pretty hard to find absinthe containing thujone at all, since most European countries have either outlawed the sale of it or heavily restricted the amount allowed in it. I did find one bottle with it though... it was red, 150 proof, and from Greece.

It was never illegal in the states (if you're not counting prohibition, lol), you just weren't allowed to resell it - meaning: you could either go to another country and bring it back or order it and have it shipped. Now, that ban has since been lifted and you'll find some in most liquor stores with a descent selection. A friend bought a bottle here that I got in France years ago, and I didn't notice any differences (besides the language on the label). I always asked the store clerks overseas about their knowledge of absinthe, and I pretty much gathered that it's not known today to have any weird effects, and people in the US seem to hype over it from what they see in the movies and because it wasn't available here. One clerk said it used to be a lot different many years ago, but that time has long passed, so I'll never know. I love anise, so I love the taste (definitely not for everybody!), and it's a fun novelty if you sweeten and/or dilute it according to tradition (flaming sugar cube on the spoon and a water drip).

Does anyone know of a liquid that kind of imitates a rich shisha (sp) hookah tobacco?? V2 cigs makes one called Sahara but its like $30 for a 50ml bottle and not available in like a 70/30 ratio or any other real options..

I know nothing of shisha but I do know that Heather's Heavenly Vapes sells a juice called Jiggy that is made from extracted hooka tobacco, you might want to research that one. Never had it myself but the website describes it as fruits and florals with a hint of tobacco.

Hmm... I didn't even see that one. Though the fruity flavor already has me kind of turned away.

I'm not really a big fan of flavors not related to tobacco, though they have to be a slightly, very slightly, sweet, overly rich and bold moist tobacco. I have Gandalf, heavenly tobacco, and Pirates Booty all ordered from HHV

I had a bad bottle of Absinthe brought over from England once. Was upstairs partying with this goth band and went to stand up and broke a floor length mirror.

Dont remember ever being that sick in my life and it wasnt from the alcohol, the rest of the band got sick as well.

I just gave some suggestions to you in the natural tobacco thread, and after reading this the suggestions are the same. As far as slightly sweet, rich, and bold tobacco definately add Vita Bella to your cart if you go with goodejuice. That's that juice to a T, and one of my favorites. Natural Perique also fits that description, tho slightly funky (in a good way to me) I would also add.

Just checked that one actually and have the site bookmarked for later. I take it the Purity line from Heathers are the NETs?? And yeah I'm getting problems loading the site as well, but I'll definitely read some of their descriptions and see what sounds like something I'm looking for-noted the Vita Bella, though which juice description were you comparing it to? LOL.. I'll read up on Natural Perique and the other mentioned from the other thread Patriot as well.

I checked into Ahlusion, and honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to order from them with the way they handle the hours of operation until capacity.. I'd like to try several of their blends that sounded good, but I'd rather avoid trying to order via my cellphone at work and I'm guessing they're at order capacity fairly early (or at least before I'm off work) a lot of days, so maybe I'll catch a break sometime.

If the NET simply stands for Naturally Extracted Tobacco, I've had one in the past and it was actually my all day vape from the company I was going through at the time. The Vecchio Blend from Ahlusion sounds really good, so hopefully I can get an order in at some point LOL

I think the Purity line from HHV refers to juices not extracted with pg, so 100% vg is possible. The tobaccos are NETs (correct, naturally extracted tobacco) except Heavenly Tobacco. Not sure what you're asking about which juice description I was comparing it to with VB. Ahlusion would be a good idea to wait on and check back in a few weeks to see if it's easier to find open. They are fantastic but lot's of other companies make great NETs in the mean time.

I don't think "real" absinth has been legal anywhere in a very long time. That is why everyone always says "I have had real absinth and it just gets you drunk". I don't know how many times I have heard that. :) Seriously a ton. The truth is real wormwood does and will make you hallucinate and is very dangerous. That is why it is illegal. But all absinth now a days is made from southern wormwood. Even in other countries.

The chemical compund that was once considered to be hallucinagenic in absinthe is thujone, which is found most notabaly in grand wormwood. The "real" absinthe I tried contained a high thurone content from grand wormwood, and was only legal to import. If you do a search on thujone, absinthe, or wormwood you'll find out that it's not a psychoactive drug. You are correct that it is very dangerous in high doses tho. It's a GABA receptor antagonist, meaning it can cause convulsions and muscle spasms. It can also cause seizures independent from the alcohol.

Absinthe was made legal again in the US a few years ago. I remember it was a big deal and liquor stores in CA began selling and advertising it. There are other alcohol products that are similar to absinthe like Chartreuse and they've always been legal. It doesn't make you hallucinate. It feels a bit like smoking weed and drinking at the same time but it's nothing really remarkable or too strong.

Ok so I'm a gummy bears fiend so that's a given. But by fruit stripe are you referring to the gum with the zebra on it and the tattoos inside? This I've got to try. Creating this thread may turn out to be my legacy to the world.

You are so right about the 14 seconds of flavor. And that may even be generous. I just ordered chewy bear. Dew the Do from HHV also tasted a little alcoholic on day 1 but by day 2 and 3 it was spot on.. I'm pretty excited for all of the amazing new flavors headed my way. FLA-vor FLAVE!!!
