Since I normally like the flavors, it's difficult for me to tell what is the most tobacco-like out there from the flue cured or Virginia or sound-alikes like Wensten. Although I like the Kant when it's strong enough, depends on the supplier. So if the V2 Cowboy is working for you at least somewhat, maybe the answer is to just try similar flavors/names from other vendors until you find a taste you like better.

I'm new to this and what I've found is I just can't stand the "tobacco" flavors that are not intended to be sweet but still are, however, I like the sweet tobacco flavors that are intended to be sweet like "Wowboy" (one of my fave sweet carts).

There seems to be an underlying "sweetness" which I can't pinpoint but may be inherent to the PG used? Again, I'm new to this so all feedback is welcome!

Real cigarettes taste nasty. I don't think its possible to duplicate 4000 chemicals and burning plant material and paper then successfully market it to vapors.

While I do agree that real cigarettes are nasty tasting, this sounds so much like an elitist non smoking attitude, that it made me wince. If you do not like tobacco flavored juices and carts, then that is fine, but can we avoid that tone? It seems rather unproductive to me.

The underlying sweetness you're detecting could possibly be caramel. I don't know exactly how the Wowboy flavor is mixed, but I know that RY4 has notes of caramel and sometimes chocolate, depending on the vendor. Perhaps you should try an RY4; that might be right up your alley as far as "tobacco" flavors. I'm rather partial to Mocha Smoke from Gourmet Vapor.

Exactly this. I smoked for a long, long time and I enjoyed almost every single cigarette. I don't have to brainwash myself into believing otherwise to keep vaping.

Given that PG (and VG) are both sweet to taste, and the way they're metabolized, it's might be it's not possible to get totally away from it. So it's a matter of the flavor counteracting it or covering it up I suppose. Juice blenders more familiar with the specific chemical reactions might be able to answer that.

I do sort of know what they meant though. I vape nhalers Nuport juice, I happen to love it. From the first time I vaped it I knew that vaping would work for me because I hit on the right juice.

Does it taste like a newport? No, probably not. To me it really tastes better than a Newport.

I've had people that have tried it (non-vapors) and don't like it, so taste is really subjective. Sometimes you just hit on a juice that tastes the way you wanted cigarettes to taste like. Or that taste you liked about cigarettes when you first started smoking. It brings me back to when I was 17 riding around with my girlfriends smoking before they had me hooked and I realized they were nasty cancer causing sticks that I couldn't quit.

I think if you chase that juice that's going to duplicate your cigarette you might be disappointed. Try to pick an element of the cigarette and try to duplicate that. For me and the Newport it was a little tobacco and a little spearmint.

My mother vapes BWB virginia because she thinks it's almost devoid of the elements you pick up in other tobacco flavors. You don't get the nut or the sweetness, almost that burnt sugar taste and smell you get in some other tobacco juices. But you have to experiment.

I haven't tried it but, I believe dormouse mentioned that she uses a little cocoa flavor to knock down the sweetness of some tobacco flavors. Dormouse my apologies, if I got that wrong. :)

Some companies have their own branded liquids that are stronger in taste. Although what I've tried have not been so super strong that I have to cut them. If I do cut them, they don't seem to be able to take more than 10%-33% of pure VG/PG before they start tasting more like nothing.

But what are you vaping with? Part of it all is the battery/power source, and the cartomizer or atomizer&cartridge or atomizer&drip tip being used. A flavor at some voltage with some cartomizer can be very different than the same flavor with a different cartomizer or through an atomizer&cartridge and vice versa.

Hello, i to at first was seeking the same thing. The closest i came was Totally Wicked's Patriot Range M/Borough. As time went on though, i wanted to and realizes that no juice can really taste like a real cigarette. As we make the transition, we find that we are actually glad that juices do not taste the same because cigarettes were terrible tasting and smelling!!
Just my 2 cents.
Peace:blush:

My post was not an attempt at being elitist, lol. I was just being real.

When I was smoking, I didn't think it tastes bad either. Now that my senses are actually working like they should, I know better.

I highly doubt if anyone accurately duplicated the taste of smoke, soot, tar, and 4000 chemicals, that any vaper would enjoy it.

You may not find a prefilled carto with the flavor your want. You can also try the D1 and Greencig 300/400 cartos at leCig, the cartos at Bloogplanet, the cartos at Vapesafe. Nhaler might have some KR808D-1 prefills. A few here, probably Chinese PG Vapor Leaf Kings KR808D-1 Cartomizers

Note - I cannot guarantee any of those cartos work - occasionally there are KR8 cartos missing the notches or the cut in the center post. I bought some of the D1's so I should know about them soon.

If you want not sweet also try some camel-alikes or desert ship type flavors (Turkish blends)

My favorite analog flavors are liquids - you would have to use them in a blank carto. You can test juices by using a DSE901 atomizer and cart on a KR808D-1, or the atty with a drip tip if you have manual batteries)
Backwoods Brew Casablanca (a lighter complex Turkish blend w/ cocoa and I add more cocoa these days)
FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship (a strong Turkish blend - nutty, pungent, reminds me of a freshly opened pack)

And don't forget to let your nose have some of the vapor. But Marlboros and most cigs in real form have honey or sugar, cocoa, licorice in them. You'll find those in a lot of tobacco juices too. I recommend you get some FreedomSmokeUSA Cocoa premixed juice in a high-PG and your nicotine level. When a tobacco juice is too sweet for your taste just smack it down with that cocoa. I've bought the cocoa a couple of times and it is almost bitter. It will also beef up a wimpy tobacco.

Freedom Smoke USA makes some really good tobacco flavors (just working through my samples now). PureCig is quite enjoyable, and not at all sweet. So far, the most like an actual cigarette of all that I've tried. (Up until last week, I was a 25 yr 1-2 pack a day Marlboro Light smoker)

Vaperite also has absolutely amazing tobacco flavors! These, as much as they are delicious tobaccos however, taste nothing like cigarettes. More as if you took a big whiff of fine, freshly dried tobacco.

Both of these vendors offer a max 50pg/50vg blend, so they require patience and skill to properly load into a cartomizer. I am going to fiddle with adding a few drops of PGA (grain alcohol) to see if thinning helps. Should also increase throat hit a bit, which is diminished in the 50/50 mixes.

Good luck!
Tracy
