I've got my first Reo (a Grand VV) on the way from kind and square-dealing member Ratman. Yay!

He's including a modded A7, but I'm tempted to pick up something a bit more solid. I went through the Reo rda sticky, but all of the options look... Pretty similar.

Does anyone have an opinion on a favorite Reo rda?

The only drippers I've played with are prebuilt 306s and Phoenix clones which can't bottom feed.

Hey buddy, got your new best friend all packaged up and ready to go out to you today. I setup the A7 for you with a 2.9ohm coil and organic cotton wick. I don't know what resistance you like. I usually run a 1.3ohm but these A7's on a VV Grand sing at higher ohms with the voltage cranked up. Worth a try anyway, even if it's not your normal cup of tea. Just be sure to juice up that cotton first before firing her up. With the cotton wick, you can change the wick without having to recoil, of course you most likely already know that. I included some 2.5mm silica, organic cotton balls and a little 32g Kanthal A1. Also a Joytech 510 LR (2.2o or so) and Dripper's dream premade atty.

Hope you like it as much as I think you will. I would also add that the RM2 is a great side air atty as is the ERA and Hornet and Cyclone IMO.

Ratman, I'm so excited! My brother has been telling me about Reos almost non-stop since he managed to luck into a Woodvil VV in a trade. Can't wait to try it!

I usually vape somewhat higher ohms than the cloud chasers. ~1.4 ohms on my Genesis, 2.2 on my Provari, and 2.2 on my Orion V3. Looking forward to trying the 2.9 ohm you built! Thanks also for the supplies, it's going to be great having everything I need as soon as the box shows up. I've stashed batteries and juice at work. :)

I'm aware that lots of Reonauts use cotton wick, but I've never really understood why. Is being able to change the wick the main advantage, or are there other reasons to use cotton as well? I was thinking of mainly working with 1mm Ekowool, but if cotton is better, great!

Wow, thanks everyone for the suggestions and info! What a friendly bunch of folks here on the Reo board!

It sounds like everyone loves the Reomizer 2. Lucky for me, they just came back in stock!

As long as I'm ordering from Reo, are there any other supplies I should pick up? Reo bits that tend to wear out, or things that it's just nice to have more than one of?

If you don't have an extra spring, that's always good to have. Also another Reo, it'll save on shipping the second one next week! I also love the derlin button cover.

Yeah, I'll admit, I'm tempted to pick up a Mini 2.1! I figure I should try my first Reo before buying another, though. :)

Plus, the 2.1 in tumbled finish looks amazing, but that one is sadly out of stock. I wonder if I can hold out for one...

Also, do the springs fail on the VV? I figured it would be protected and safe from overheating batteries.

Main reasons for cotton is clean taste, easy to rewick without recoiling and some have health concerns over silica fragments being inhaled with silica wick. Eko wool is very good stuff tho. I like it as much as I do the cotton.

As for REO site, if you are ordering an RM2, you might get some spare o-rings as they are easy to misplace yet hard to locate for replacements. The VV grand has built in protection for a lot of things so that eliminates the need for a lot of spare parts and bits although spare tube and cap assembly is nice to have on hand in case you get a flavor that you can not get rid of loaded up in the original. The Delrin button cover is awesome on the regular REOs but not made for or needed on the VV.

Ok! Reomizer 2.0 ordered. Also got the spare spring as inkdog suggested (don't think I'll need it on a VV, but just in case) and the o-rings and spare tube and caps as Ratman suggested! (Though they'd only let me order 2 tubes and caps.)

Ratman, thanks also for the background and advice on cotton wicks. Something new to experiment with.

It's going to be a good week for vapemail!
