Try 7 Leaves. Either by itself, or added to RY4, which might be more preferable to you. It's made by Flavour Art, a company in Italy, but it is available from probably more than one US vendor. I get it from MyFreedomSmokes in North Carolina.

I've been contemplating pistachio for a while now. How does yours compare to the Charlie Nobel one?
    Recipe if you will....plzz ;)
I found this recipe on ELR a few years ago posted by ENYAWREKLAW and went with it. It's a little pistachio forward and not as sweet, but did the job. I changed the ratio from 30/70 to 60/40 and upped the nic to 14mg.

    All TPA:
    Brown Sugar 2%
    Caramel (Original) 1%
    Pistachio 7%
    RY4 Double 3%
    Vanilla Swirl 3%

Wayne has retooled it since then and I have the additional flavors. When I go to make this one, I will omit the sweetener.
    THE NEW PISTACHIO-RY4U RECIPE

Remember RY4D needs at least a two week steep.

I'm wondering how the two recipes compare to the Charlie one. I'm not a fan of a distinctive caramel taste and some reviews say that about Charlie. I can tolerate it as a distant background. Now i'm contemplating to buy some so to taste what it is like, but am a bit reluctant because of the (possible) caramel taste.
The better option I think for me, is to do your two recipes, but I have to order the ingredients first. Only one I have is the RY4D.
What is your opinion about your two, against the Charlie one?

To be clear, I have not tried to make the updated version which swaps brown sugar and caramel for sugar cookie and butterscotch ripple. As well, the pistachio goes from 7% to 2%, so I'm now curious. Are you contemplating buying CN Pistachio RY4 to try and are reading the reviews of that, or are you reading the reviews of the versions made by Wayne (or all of the above. lol.)? For the one I made, it was pistachio forward and not as sweet as I did not use as much VG and upped the nic. I did buy the butterscotch ripple to mix with Purilum Sweet Tobacco on the advice of a couple of members here because it sounded like it was in my wheelhouse; though, I didn't find it as fantastic as they did. As we all know, tastes vary. But, enough rambling.

At this point, I'd get the pistachio and mix it with the RY4D and go from there. Since the recipe I used had caramel at 1%, it just enhances the caramel note in the RY4D. I don't find TPA Caramel to be a sweet caramel anyway. If you use ELR, you will see there are about 6 pages of recipes for Pistachio Ry4. At worst, pistachio is great mixed with sugar cookie or biscuit. I'm by no means a mix master as I usually just take single flavors and mix them in my tank.

Though, I'm really stoked to nick into this Goofy's Juice which is about done steeping.

I only do non-sweetened NET now. But when I started vaping, I used RY4. This one blew all the others away. Freaking delicious.

Yes that's the plan. I bought so many RY4's in the past that is heavy on the caramel, that i'm kinda shy to buy more. But then again, i've been curious about pistachio for some time.

That was quick. I figured it had to be shipped from somewhere crazy far away .

This weekend, I'll try my hand at the revised recipe.

Well...i'm actually very impressed with it. Its only15 days old now, but has some character already. I upped the pistachio by 1% after a week...but in hindsight maybe I was a bit hasty. Don't know yet.
Compared to Charlie Nobles...its real close. Lacks that smooth/full mouth feel and butteryness. Maybe that'll come around in time when it has steeped properly.
All in all its the best of my tobacco diy's to date.
I joined Diy or Die and paid my dues, in order to get more tobacco recipes. He don't have to many, but i'll get in personal contact with him to address that.
Thanks to you i'm definitely on the right path here....:thumb:
