Hi Fellow Canadians,

I came across a post stating that he/she could not find any posts for Favourite Suppliers in Toronto. So I thought that it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to that topic. Please feel free to add YOUR favourite supplier & why.

I ordered from Jack at Happy Vaper 2 weeks ago. This was my 1st time with this company and I must say that the service is ABOVE & BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. Yup it sure is!

I have tried the model 401 & 801 version from different suppliers and now I am trying the model Joye 510. For me & my mom this model is a real keeper.

Jack responds very quickly. Takes the time to walk you thru any glitches you may have. Informs you of new products coming on board & makes suggestions to save you money! Imagine that!

I emailed my order and got it the day after (because the merchandise was in stock). And the shipping cost was a mere $10.00

Jack pointed out that the e-GO will be in stock shortly. I put my name on the pre-order list. That looks like a great model as the batt life is really long.

Yes, Happy Vaper is my Favorite supplier, why? Because of Jack and his GREAT CUSTOMER SKILLS.

CheeMiss - I second and third this. Jack - awesome supplier, awesome guy! Totally helpful and I as well have pre-ordered the eGo. I have confidence dealing with HV - Jack has always gone out of his way in helping me with the learning curve, even if that means responding to emails at 4:30 am, 5 minutes after I've emailed (which would be 1:30 PST, I'm not nocturnal though I believe Jack is!)

** Please note - none of us should expect Jack to respond to emails in the wee hours of the morning but this is just an example to show you the type of service you get when dealing with Happy Vaper!!

NOW LET THE MAN SLEEP!!

LOL :p

My vote is for Rob over at Vapables. He shipped out my order for me on Saturday and it arrived here in the interior of BC on Wednesday- Awesome shipping, and at a very reasonable cost!

He sent emails out with tracking info and even checks to ensure delivery. Received a personal email from him today to check and make sure everything was OK -super nice guy who really cares about his customers.

This was my third order with Vapables and have been very happy with all three. He has great products and I will definitely be ordering again.

I am expecting my first order any day now from Jack at Happyvaper and am really looking forward to trying out his products as well. A great supplier for the DIY crowd, with a huge assortment of flavors.

I have to agree with vapables... I order on thursday night, and i get the next day from his hands to mine, cant beat that.
Yeah well some of us aren't that lucky:(;) he would need extra long arms so I can benefit from that personal type of service. I have done business with Vapables as well, no problems there neither.

I just placed my first order with evapers and I have to say that they were more than helpful and customer service was above and beyond as there was a mix up on my part and they did nothing but help me get things fixed.Response to my e mail was superior to anything else I have ever tried ordering from. I would say anyone that was thinking of trying them to not think twice as I am sold as a very happy customer.

hmm I'm gonna have to check them out now, I haven't ordered from many suppliers (just two) and have been wanting to check more out. :)

Hello Shifty,

I'm glad that our sharing has enlightened you to 2 more suppliers. I too benefited by learning about Vapables (Canadian MADE Juice).

With one of my previous models, I have ordered it direct from China. Yes, the service was great BUT, if one of the parts was defective, I had to pay real high shipping costs all over again or wait for it to be included with my next order. hmmmm. NOT GOOD, especially if you needed that part asap & were not sure if you were going to stick with that model yet.

What I have learned out of this whole experience is this.

- Ordering from China, seams cheaper, but the shipping costs raises your over all total. Replacing broken parts FREE with these high shipping costs again adds to your over all expense. So in the long run, it just is not worth it. It actually costs you MORE. Then you have to factor in the waiting for merchandise time factor (week or more). And also the fear factor that your parcel will be confiscated.
All in all......in the long run, it's just not worth going that route.

Jack at Happy Vapors offers good prices, a 15% discount, cheaper shipping, which makes the over all costs more effective. So there really is no need to look to China anymore. And with all the personal service you get from Jack, well, he really is barely breaking even in my eyes. He takes all the risks and we get all the benefits.

- Liquid Nicotine (Juice) I was emailed by another Toronto vapor asking if I would join him in a volume juice order so that we all could benefit from HUGE discount. This sounded like a great idea. (3 of us made a group order). It took us a long time to decide on what supplier as it did bother us regarding the safety & quality of Chinese juices. After much debate, we did end up ordering the juice from a China supplier. All went well & with the high shipping cost factored into the discount price per unit, there still was a good savings per bottle.

Having said that....I still have a problem with the quality & safety of anything from China. And now that I have learned of CANADIAN MADE JUICE from Vapables (which gives me more peace of mind) perhaps they too would give a volume discount. We found that most companies did when we emailed them directly, they sent us their discounted prices for volume orders. Being that the 3 of us lived close to each other, this was definitely the way to save monies. So, it would be worth your checking out this option.

Benefit of this juice experience. I made a new friend! lolololol

Thank you fellow Canadian Vapors for the tip on the Canadian made juice.

As much as I like our Canadian vendors and want to see them succeed, I just can't agree on the pricing. For comparison I just priced up a 510 starter kit at a Canadian vendor vs a Chinese one. There's a $20 difference even after applying all the discounts. As far as shipping goes, a couple of Canadian vendors, like Vapables and eVapers offer $8 flat rate shipping, which is great. Others, the shipping is not that great. Happy Vaper will charge me $12 to ship, Mystix wants $15!!! EMS shipping from China is generally $16.

I've also no doubt that Vapables Canadian made liquid is probably made from a Chinese base. This isn't an issue with me, and so far I am loving their homebrewed juice. I find their prices pretty reasonable, compared to US vendors and I plan to continue using them and recommending them.

At the end of the day I think it's great that we have some choice as consumers. I will always direct new vapers to one of the Canadian vendors, I think it just makes the most sense, when starting out, to buy local. But once you start acquiring more and more PVs, it might make sense to spend a little less and wait a little longer and order overseas.

FYI:

My fellow vapor (volume order) just checked out the Vapables site regarding their juice.

re: a group volume order. This is what he just emailed me.

"It looks like they get there base from china just like everyone else then just mix the flavors here. So unless there was some cost savings there is no discernible advantage."

Hi Sheep,

Good to know the shipping cost to B. C. (btw, your closer to China than we are, and further from Toronto.) so yes, shipping prices will vary with location, therefore changing over all TOTAL costs.

To Toronto, I paid ship cost of $27. from China and $10. from Happy Vapor as he is in Toronto.

And you are right about the rest of your post as well. But keep in mind. If there are parts that don't work, and you don't wish to continue buying from that particular China contact, then either you are out of luck or you have to pay additional shipping just to replace that part.

It's a bit of a 6 of this and a dozen of that. Isn't it? lolololo So hard to save a buck in the long run.

That is why for "me", I have decided to stick with a local e-cig suppliers. (the juice is another matter), now that I have found a model that I really like. For the few $$$ POTENTIAL savings, I rather just let the local supplier have his deserved living. After all, time is money and to me Jack earned those few $$$ that I "might" have saved elsewhere in the short term and lost in the long term.

Again, that is only my opinion and experience. It's not like you are ordering a new e-cig every week. The juice, again, is a whole other matter.

Lol, it seems lately that's exactly what I've been doing! Ordering a new e-cig every week! It all started with a Happy Vaper 510, then I just had to have the black with green led 402 and PCC from electronic cigz. Then the wife got into vaping an another 401 was ordered. Then she confiscated the 510 and I ordered another from Happy Vaper. But they were out of stock and it took over a month to get to me! So in the meantime did a trial order from Health Cabin. Then that was taking too long so I grabbed one from evapers. And then all the cheapo-e-cigs from deal extreme that I'd ordered over a month back, before trying the 510 started showing up. Then more friends started wanting to try and the extra 510s got sold off. Then I had to try the KR8 and loved it. And now family wants in and I'm waiting on two more starter kits for them. And the juice, don't get me started. Close to 3 litres on hand now. Plus plenty of flavours for DIY. And a few hundred plastic bottles.

But once my 50 cartomizers come in I should be finished buying...honest! Well, camping season is coming up and I think I really need the battery life of the eGo, so after I get one of those, then I'll finally be done :D

Hi Sheep,

I just can't stop laughing over your above post! You're like a kid in a candy store...lololololol

You have me totally confused now lolololol....so which model did you finally decide on?
Which one is going to keep you off and away from the analogues?
The KR8 or the 510 manual with the eGO batt?

Once you finally settle down on one model, you too will see the benefit of saving monies by dealing locally. Trying to save a few $$$ is what got you into this buying spree it seems. lolololol

For my mom & me, the 510 manual with the mega batt for only $2.00 more from Happy Vapor (Jack) is a keeper. (Jack was kind enough to modify the starting kit for us. They will NOT work with the standard PCC.)
The only change we are going to make, once our batts die, is to the eGO batt due to longer batt life. Therefore we don't need the PCC, nor a passthrough. Jack pointed out that tip to save us money.
Less gadgets, More savings. yes? no?

Oh, and Jack mentioned something about some sort of cover that goes over the atty to keep it warmer for more flavour with the eGO model.

You know, they have Detox places for the addicted. AA for the alcoholics. Diet clubs for the food obsessed. hmmmm, maybe we too should have some sort of club for the e-cig out of control buyers. lolololol

Thank you for providing me with a good laugh for today! You really do have a wonderful sense of humor! :D

Lol, it's not an addiction...it's a hobby! (or that's what I tell myself). I think the universe is conspiring to keep me vaping. In my immediate neighborhood I have a compounding pharmacy that sells me PG, a kitchen shop that stocks Lorann and other flavours, a dollar store full of dropper bottles and today I discovered the local head shop sells TastyPuff flavours!

That $600 my sig says I've saved...not really. It's more "this is how much I've spent on vaping!"

CheeMiss asking me to choose between my PVs is like asking me to choose between my cats! They all have their own personalities.

When I'm at home watching tv or on the pc I like to drip into my 510. I love blowing out the huge clouds of vapour, and trying different flavours. And now I have a nice blue 510 with a blue mega battery and PCC to go with them.

When I really want to taste a flavour I turn to the M401/2. With some flavours it's intense, and the after dinner vape is pretty much dessert! Love the battery life and the PCC as well.

And for driving, and being out and about I am loving the KR8. Also really enjoying the cartomizers with an adapter on the 510 battery. I was surprised at how easy it is to refill. I get similar vapour as the M40x. The 510 beats both of them. It could be my imagination but I think I get better vapor with the 510 on the carto as I do with the KR8 battery.

I had quit smoking for a couple of weeks before getting my 510, and it's what kept me off. I think analogues are out of my life for good now!

Happy vaping! :)

Jack from Happy Vaper just emailed.....the eGO's are in stock now. YEAH!!!
Can't wait to get mine. What customer service! Jack's the best!

Sheep......you are either a Connoisseur or an E-cigaholic. lololololol
Come to think about it, a connoisseur is like an aholic. Addicted to good things. And that's a good thing.
With all that connoisseuring, your keeping yourself so busy, that analogues are truly a thing of the past for you. Yeah!
