Not even close in my opinion. FA Desert Ship is a much darker and heavier tobacco flavor. The FA version also has a strong ashy flavor that is absent from Hangsen's, and there seems to be an undertone of spice beneath the ash for FA. Hangsen's Desert Ship is a strong tobacco flavor but I find it very clean and it plays well with other flavors. I use FA at 3% or less before it becomes overpowering, while I use HA at 7%.

The Hangsen Desert Ship is one of my favorite tobaccos, FlavourArt not so much.

Thanks for the input man. I'm curious about HS Turkish blend too, have you tried that one?

No I haven't tried the Turkish yet, but it is on my next order. Right now I'm playing around with Inawera tobaccos, so I've been a little lazy getting that one.

I use HS Desert Ship as a base for almost all my vaping needs, add a little TA and it becomes amazing. Highway and No5 are 2 others that I use a lot of in mixing. Nice clean flavor with very little cocooning of the coil. They find a way to pop other flavors out that are just crappy as standalones. I mix my HS tobacs at 6%. I truly dislike the ashy or dirt taste that are in many tobaccos...YUK.

Mini review of HS Turkish Blended:

Finally, a mellow Turkish tobacco liquid that can be an all day vape. Similar taste to a filtered Camel Light cigarette, but needs a bit of tobacco absolute or DNB in the mix for throat hit. Other users say 7% to 12% in the mix; this being the only down side to the liquid. Having mixed it at 5%, I can see why people are saying mix at a higher percentage. However, since this liquid is somewhat NET in creation, this is to be expected.

I finally settled on about 6% in the mix, but still added about .5% DNB, 1% Inawera Oriental TA and a .75% FA Marzipan; very nice!

In comparison to something like TFA Turkish, it's a 180 degree turn about in the enjoyable category.

I know what you mean. It does seem to be showing up in a lot of flavors anymore. I don't mind a hint of it sometimes, especially if I'm having a cold one or something, but when it gets into that 'I just licked a dirty ash tray' territory I think you picked the right word for it....YUK.

Tried HS Turkish, 12 drops in 10 ml, turned out to be an easy ADV for me. Nice, mild tobacco vape I'd recommend to anybody. Despite the mildness, it still has a savory, satisfying tobacco aspect to me. Gonna make a 30 ml of this to vape at work next week.

Threw in 10ml of Arabic on my last BCV order not expecting much based on reports online. Did the same 12 drop shake n vape. I'd read about this one a lot before trying it and people either seemed to love or hate it. Put me in the "love" camp. This first 10ml is great. Easily in the top 20 juices I've vaped, diy or store bought finished product. And that is without steeping.

Still need to try RY3, Flue Cured and Cohiba but I don't feel like rewicking three times tonight.

Now, take that love for Arabic and throw in 1 or 2% of Nicotiana Rustica (10% dilution) in the mix..... It'll knock your socks off!

I had ordered the full size which was a small amount. I think it was 5ml. You will make a 10% mix for the actual flavoring. I diluted it with 50%PGA (pure grain alcohol) and 50% PG to get 50ml of the flavoring. The sample size may be enough to get you enough flavoring to try and see if you like it. It comes in a paste so you will have to warm it a wee bit to mix [emoji6] And then let it steep awhile with daily bottle shaking.

I'm an Arabic fanatic. What does adding this do with the flavor?

Rustica TA is a natural tobacco alcoloid that adds a real tobacco taste to a mix and needs to be mixed down into a 10% concentrate. It's used in a mix from 1 - 5%

Anyone ever order the "sample" size of Rustica? Was looking at the site thinking about finally trying this. Is it some microscopic amount?

Yep, I just received 2ml size, it is tiny tiny but comes in a huge box, but after dilution it will be 20 ml, more than a sample for me.

So after diluting, we have to wait for steeping before putting it into a mix?

Yeah I'll probably just go for the 2 ml too. 20 ml of diluted extract, even at 2%, makes, what, 1000 ml of juice? Yikes.

No! The diluting is simply to make it "usable" to add to a mix. I use it at 2% (of the 10% mix) as a stand alone and also with other tobaccos, my favorite being HS Virginia.

Most tobaccos benefit from steeping, but that doesn't mean you can't vape it right away.
