Insert baditude quote here...too lazy to go back and edit...

Fear-mongering I say! You're probably right lol but I take comfort in the fact that we'll have at least a few months if/when the prop passes in which to buy gallons upon gallons of sweet smelling soon to be black market nic juice/
That's another thing. Most noobs and vets here are lazy and like easy, too. Links, quotes, pics, diagrams, etc. You got to hand it to them with a silver spoon or they'll never look for it or miss it because they don't know how to find it on their own.

Just like the "fear-mongering" you claim I am doing... I felt the same way up until a couple of weeks ago. Then I noticed all of the threads from Singapore and Malaysia of vapors trying to get e-cig supplies into their country and being detained by government officials when caught trying to receive them.

Noticing that right here in the United States that nearly every couple of weeks another county has banned use of electronic cigarettes. Canadians asking how to get nicotine e-liquid safely into their country. The World Health Organization (WHO) making statements that e-cigs should be banned until more research is done.

How many people here have looked at the call to actions that CASAA has done? How many have even bothered to look at ANYTHING on the CASAA website?

Frankly, I'm surprised MORE people are not as alarmed as me.

Yes, we likely will have several months or more to prepare ourselves before any FDA actions actually go into effect. But any plans to snatch some "gallons" of black market nic juice are pipe dreams. The stuff is hard enough to get now, once the real panic hits that nicotine will be harder to get than Ikenvape punched cartomizers. ;)

I'm glad you're putting it out there because I wasn't even aware of CASAA. I'm definitely on board and feel every member of this forum should be, too.

Some noobs are concerned and do pay attention. I refrain from posting on this subject primarily because it will likely end up in a rant about how unfair it is to be fairly new to this, and to potentially have it taken away. Besides the usual learning curve I have also felt compelled to learn about mechanical mods, DIY, and RBAs. I have stockpiled in case the worse does happen. I have joined CASAA, signed the petition, and am prepared to fight for our cause. What has occured in Singapore, Canada, etc, alarms me. It is really easy to say that won't happen here, but look at some of the recent events in several states trying to regulate ecig use.

Thank God for CASAA, but I too am a concerned noob. Our government seems to have gone power mad - devoting themselves to dominating every little aspect of our lives (see NY and wacko Bloomberg's attempted soda ban). It would be naive to believe they won't try to control anything that moves, and especially something they can be killjoys about. Couple that with the "we've gotta pass to bill so you can see what's in it" mentality and there isn't anything they can't mess up, ruin and defile. What I find ironic is that cigs will probably always be legal, but by golly, we've gotta keep an eye on smoke juice!

Besides, this notion of a free market, and all the small businesses that offer juice, mods, etc. and employ people, must be squashed! Did I state that fairly? LOL

It would be sad if people (including me) went back to cigarettes rather than go through whatever hassle they manufacture.

I just don't get how they could try to ban something like this but yet alcohol is still legal. Alcohol has destroyed more families and created more grief then a e cig could ever do.

Last time I looked I seen that I am a grown woman that is perfectly able to make my own decisions! I am so tired of the government running our lives and trying to tell us how to live! And every time the common man tries to find something that provides a little enjoyment then they run and put a tax on it!

I work 2 jobs to maintain a reasonable lifestyle, but I don't see the government saying how bad that is for me working 60 hours a week. Yeah I could get by on one job but I would only have the money for the basic necessities and nothing else.

Even if FDA don't end up approving these e cigs, doesn't mean they will harm us. FDA got rid of a few medications and only because of the funds it costs to make them to the low cost they are getting for them. Example: Phenazo a drug i really am upset that they stopped producing because of cost. It was a god sent to have these when needed. Now i have to get them from the states through a friend.

The only way FDA will approve e cigs is if they can make huge money and even then i worry that they will add some stuff to the juice. I think this way because i am reading on here that people are and have lowered their nic levels to 0. The FDA must hate that.

I can see the news headlines now: DEA busts home e-liquid lab

A person needs to read Chapter XI of the tobacco act to understand what's at stake here, and it's far reaching if applied to e-cigs.
    Gone are internet sales
Gone are flavors other than tobacco or menthol
Gone are any products that did not exist prior to Feb 2007

Most advanced users can already make (or already have) everything they need to continue vaping. So for us this would be an inconvenience more than anything.
For the smoker out there that can't seem to quit smoking this could be a sentence to death.

this is why the FDA can only do so much. going back to 2010 the judge's ruling is quite clear. this will be the common thread used for any attempts to ban or regulate them. as for the juice, well common sense regulations will not harm this market, and assure we as vapers are getting the proper ingredients, and dosages.
