I hate to say it but a tank that only uses drop in coil heads is kind of a bad idea for stockpiling since you would need to buy enough replacement heads to last a lifetime. Add to that, the Zenith in particular was released after the deadline (not sure about the coils) so those coils might be getting scarce here real soon. The better bet for MTL would be the Ares RTA. You should always be able to get wire and cotton to make your own coils.
An even better option would be a RDA. Since they don't have any glass to break they can theoretically last forever. I found a Hadaly clone on FastTech for like $5 or $6 each that I like. You could get a handful of them at that price and never worry about a topper again. There could also be better RDA's out there just as cheap, I just haven't tried many of them since I prefer tanks.
agreed. MTL is not really my thing anymore but there are actually a few new MTL specific RDA that look to do a good job of giving a MTL vape.
Policing thousands of little vape shops nation wide is such a big job the FDA is looking for a subcontractor. What they'll end up with is vigilantes about as competent as minimum wage security guards. I wonder if they'll be carrying guns. It could turn out they can't find competent help to do this job for a price they can afford.
Everything I use was on the market before August 16. Everything in my stockpile (below) is the same. I don't yearn for any of the new stuff. The new evolve replay mode sounds mildly interesting but the mods that have it will be larger than a Pico so I'll learn to live without.

I'll never be done stocking up even though I have a stockpile that would get me through a few lifetimes
They are already hitting up B&M shops. Sending in people making sure that the employees are checking ID's ( which the employees should) but also inquiring about many other things as for as far as making sure all the paperwork is done for eliquid vendors and if the shop makes there own liquid all the registered paperwork is compliant . They are here in Connecticut now. That is a fact.
Thanks for the info. When the deeming was relatively new, there was a flurry of activity whereby some shops and retail chains got dinged for underage sales. Haven't seen much of anything posted since then. This announcement of going after new products seems that they are stepping things up a bit.
Yes, it kinda scary, but they want to take away all flavors except tobacco.. no menthol either. We have a couple months to go to the FDA website and "tell your story" of why we need flavors. We all must hit up the site. Blow the site up with comments! You know Big Tobacco and the Pharmaceutical companies have their people hitting the site we must overwhelm them with our stories. That includes all the RY4 fans too... no more carmel and vanilla! Lol

I sure am glad I DIY and don't buy commercial juice anymore (and like the extra hundred or two dollars a month I am saving) but I feel for all the future people wanting to switch to a less harmful alternative.
My first cigarette was “Tobacco Flavored” when I was 15. That never stopped me. It tasted like crap and I coughed a lot. Then I smoked them for 20 years till I started vaping.

The extension till 2022 was a brilliant ploy to take the wind out of advocacies sails. Banning flavors will GUT the industry, and there will be virtually no voice to fight when the 2022 ban goes into effect.
And if the FDA is serious about removing nico from ciggies and addressing ways people might add nico back into them, look for regs regarding nic strength allowed to be possessed by individuals.
First come regs, then come criminal penalties for possession of contraband...they laughed at me and said..." It can't happen here". I disagree, it can, and it will, and if someone somehow comes under the eye of the machine, kiss your stockpile goodbye, and better get a lawyer cause in those future days, you are gonna need one. Uncle doesn't like it when his subjects don't follow the rules and pay their sin taxes...

That would take an act of Congress (or individual state legislatures). The FDA has no authority over what an individual possesses for personal consumption.

We are dealing with people who want to use the full power of government and regulatory agencies to control other people's behavior, how has that worked out in the past?
I always though they were dangling the carrot while planning our demise. I ordered two liters of nicotine today. Thinking of maybe another gallon and a dedicated small freezer as well. Nicotine to me is target number one.

I'm not sure how this will affect the Canadian vaping market but I left my comments on the fda flavour regulation thing anyways. Wish the article put it in a more prominent place though, it was a little tricky to find.
I will definitely be telling every vaper I know to add their two cents, every word counts.
Lord knows it's already hard enough to get ejuice through Canadian customs, don't need another reason to have my juice refused entry.
