That's pretty blatent - they're up to putting up downright lies now. Whether the 'person' (I won't call him a journalist) took the original press release and amped it up, or the FDA released another press release - it's pure BS now....

The Food and Drug Administration released an analysis of 19 varieties of electronic cigarettes that said half contained nitrosamines (the same carcinogen found in real cigarettes) and many contained diethylene glycol, the poisonous ingredient in antifreeze.

Further scare tactics - and the sheeple will lap it up.

Notice he said "Many" were found to contain Diethylene Glycol, not just one.

I tend to doubt this was the FDAs doing. It reads more like irresponsible journalism. The more sensational one can make a topic, the more people tend to read it. I haven't heard of any new FDA claims lately.

I delivered Newsday to homes from 1982-1992. All I can say is that Newsday is the same rag it was back then.

Newsday seems to have pulled that from a recent LA Times piece...
