I agree fully with the article. Voiced both sides for once and seemed neutral. Let's hope that the FDA's evaluations are taken by people who are actually neutral on the subject as well.

Everything does need to be tested. Robs mods shouldn't have to be, but I guess possibly for safety if a failure occurs.

Nichrome wires are use in heating elements for furnaces, that does mean that direct exposure to the heating effect of them isn't hurting us either. Furnaces vent air through the house so the effect is dissipated. I can guarantee a lot of people don't even think of the wire.

There really aren't any good studies to go off of.

Who the heck knows what's in juices, even premium juices. Halo won't even tell you their pg vg ratio if you asked and say you can't use pg. right now sellers have way too much power of secrecy.

If people start posting that FDA regulation is horrible and terrible again like I've seen. Ugh.

Certain flavors of tobacco are banned. This will likely follow suit with ecigs.

I don't know how they're going to tax them. I'd assume it would have to be nicotine base but I really hope not.

Well there's my insight/babbling

That's why a freezer and a lot of glass bottles comes in real handy, just sayin.

I got 2L of nic base and an available credit limit to purchase dozens more if the need arises lol

But seriously, I would assume the pro-vape side is lawyering up with the support of vapers, loved ones of vapers, e-juice makers, equipment makers, etc. At the very least, the lawsuits would take 5+ years to be sorted out, no?

Their funds are a rounding error to the opposition of big pharma who's losing revenue from gum, patches and pills.

I think they'll be regulated the same as cigarettes. Which is sad, but probably inevitable. But I think even if it's something absurd like a 400% tax on nic, it'll just raise our price a fraction of an amount. I vape 3-4ml a day, started diy a month ago bought 8oz of 36mg, I've still got over 4oz left. So at 400% tax It would've cost me roughly $50 for that month (estimated 4oz/mo). And that's using 36mg. If I had 1l of 100mg the cost would be around half of that. But I agree on stocking up, why pay quadruple (or more) the price for something that will keep for years.

Edit: Dang, where did that money I should've saved go? Dang new mods...

.......It was inevitable ....to be sure, and I am pretty sure I like the idea of regulation of manufacture of the juices ......right now I am more concerned that California is considering banning internet sales, the 2 B&M stores near me ....1 is too expensive, and limited flavors, and the second one, the people aren't nice, and their cherry flavor sucks big time ....and they have a limited number of flavors too ....

I feel prepared enough. a year's worth of 100mg in the freezer, I know how to DIY and dilute vendor already, mechanical with rebuildable.. plenty of cig-a-likes and a box back up with healthy carto and Nano supply. I'll let others buy up nic before I do again.. hate running into that "out of stock" BS.

they can't ban/tax batteries, wire, cotton, silica, etc and food flavorings. it'll be about nic base and flavored nicotine liquids.. I'm fine with vaping unflavored while out and about.. save the yummy goodness for at home.

Never under estimate the .gov, you can keep your doctor comes to mind. We did not get 5 years to cover that one.

Don't be fooled. It may take a couple of years but the goal is to totally destroy the current vaping industry and give it over to Big Tobacco. I have grown very cynical in my older age and I don't believe that we can overcome the money that will be thrown at this from Big Tobacco and the Big Drug companies. Nothing happens in our country today that isn't controlled by the money.

Just think of all the lost jobs from all the current juice and vape supply vendors. The state of things that would benefit people is very sad. I swear nothing is done for the benefit of the people anymore.

Nothing will change for 2 years as far as we are concerned.

But it's still not great.

God, I don't know what to think of that guy. His post there was good, but he is just as hard-headed as the ANTZ, but on our side.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ttes-banning-e-cigarette-sampling-stores.html

The title pis*** me off. I've seen him attacking someone else for saying that e-cigs may be harmful and that no one knows the long term effects.

But, like I said the post in the thread you linked was over-all good.

Wifey sent me a link at lunch for a local article on this. The view was a bit slanted, but overall, the declaration is still in limbo. Until the regs are made public, let's not all get worked up. From the vague indications of the scope of regulation, it doesn't seem all that bad. But then again, "You can keep your current doctor" does come to mind. *Dee ;)
