CASAA is still preparing it's official response. From their latest blog:
- "CASAA is preparing a response that will point out the flaws in the proposed regulations and is organizing its members and hundreds of thousand of other e-cigarette users in an attempt to persuade FDA about the harms this regulation would cause. Should that fail, it plans to fight the regulations in court."
This is VERY serious. I'll have to listen to VPLive's Sunday night replay again, because I couldn't believe the figures I was hearing. Something like how the FDA, in the last
20 years, has approved an
absurdly small amount of new tobacco products. Bill Godshall and Greg Conley were throwing numbers like 10 million dollars per company in fees and filings at the end of the day. These two people do not speak in hyperboles to "freak you out," so I believe those figures when it comes from their lips.
Make no mistake, it's a de-facto ban that maybe only 2-3 companies that existed before the 2007 cutoff date and the Big Tobacco companies will be able to afford and comply with. Hardware companies
will be affected. Unless Rob is willing to dissolve his LLC, move to the underground black market, and dodge the IRS and whatnot, say goodbye to the Reosmods company as we know and enjoy it today.
The general consensus is to for us, the consumers, to sit and wait for specific marching orders.
Be ready to do something when the call for us to do so comes. There isn't a mad rush. A voice of opposition spoken tomorrow carries no more weight than a voice of opposition spoken on day 70 of the 75 day public comment period.
A clear and concise unified front is being organized.
Stay tuned...
