Have two+ years worth of nic in the freezer and have been reading/learning NET and extractions and such. I recently dropped my nic from 12mg down to 8mg and doing great on it, like I never dropped at all, so I can stretch that nic out further or get it low enough that I vape 0mg.

I truly believe this is about lost tax revenue for the fed and nothing more....they don't give a hoot about our health!

You can have my current doctor!

The 2007 nonsense is one thing - and let's be honest, nobody using anything today is going to hand it in if it's outlawed or not approved. Nothing on my desk looks like a device from then, because they were crap then and so i smoked.

It's also fair to say that a few of us are more than able now to build our own gear were we stranded on a desert island - but until it is widely accepted as science fact that e-cigs are safer than burning tobacco (not totally safe - just safer) then there is wriggle-room for BT and lawmakers.

God, I don't know what to think of that guy. His post there was good, but he is just as hard-headed as the ANTZ, but on our side.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ttes-banning-e-cigarette-sampling-stores.html

The title pis*** me off. I've seen him attacking someone else for saying that e-cigs may be harmful and that no one knows the long term effects.

But, like I said the post in the thread you linked was over-all good.

I see you are fairly new to vaping and ECF.

Bill is one of the best proponents we have as vapers. He has been at this for a very long time and understands government speak and has been advocating harm reduction for years now. He has gone to bat for us many times. He pulls no punches on calling out the stupidity. Please do a little homework on Mr. Godshall and you will see he understands all too well what we're up against.

Well now... at least we know roughly what we are battling up against, all spelled out for us.

75 days for public comments.

If you haven't joined CASAA, consider doing so. Become a CASAA Member

Wait for their lawyers and what not to read the regulations through entirely, and break it down for us consumers in easier to understand terms. Their Call To Action page will surely be updated ASAP with who, we as consumers, need to contact, and what else we can actively do to fight it.

A another good person for info and who is on our side is Greg Conley of AVA. Follow his twitter feed for some often updated and relevant information: @GregTHR

Greg Conley is a bit of a rockstar in my eyes. That dude is fighting his AYus off for vapers. If there is a hearing, or a lobbying opportunity, he'll be there, and he'll be one well spoken Mutha.......**.

----------

I've got enough nicotine for a good 2-3 years; and sure, before two years is up, I'll be able to snag much more, but what about the smokers still out there that don't know as much about DIY and what not as I do? We do?

I imagine to Reo community is good for a solid 100 "regulars" here. Let's do our small part Reonauts.

75 days. Stay tuned... :vapor:

Don't be fooled. It may take a couple of years but the goal is to totally destroy the current vaping industry and give it over to Big Tobacco. I have grown very cynical in my older age and I don't believe that we can overcome the money that will be thrown at this from Big Tobacco and the Big Drug companies. Nothing happens in our country today that isn't controlled by the money.

Just think of all the lost jobs from all the current juice and vape supply vendors. The state of things that would benefit people is very sad. I swear nothing is done for the benefit of the people anymore.

I don't think you're being cynical Bluesnake, I think you're being realistic. I believe our cause will be lost and a lot of people all going to suffer horribly from smoking and die early and terribly...as I would have if it weren't for these blessed non-smoking alternatives.

Two years ago i started stocking up on, first, 24mg nic juice and then 100mg juice, which i can cut with pg and vg.

I can't stop those greedy c &^$*&# ers, but I CAN laugh in their faces at least.

hatred. that's the emotion.

i vape high nic in large quantities.

whatever regulations are to come, are seriously going to suck for me... and especially for my family and friends who can't be bothered to spend the time to get the news. they're answering the calls to action with letters and phone calls, but far behind in the times and can't fathom what's possibly coming.

they get their calls to action forwarded from me and just follow directions. their eyes glaze over in disbelief when i start ranting about forthcoming regulations and preparation for such. when i stock up on nic they ask why and order their tiny bottles they don't spend the time to steep. i can't get through to them on the level they're going to need if and when there's something to prepare for.

if these guys have the information resources staring them in the face and nearly lecturing them and this is the outcome, i seriously feel for the masses who've not had the chance for an alternative yet.

Sincerely;
new to the game
1/2 liter of 100mg nic in the freezer and counting.

Quick update:

CASAA has posted a quick blog summary of their first impressions. http://blog.casaa.org/2014/04/casaa-assessment-of-fda-deeming.html

The part to really pay attention to right now is the last two paragraphs:

"It is our current assessment that these proposed regulations are not in the best interests of consumers. They include some good provisions, but do far more harm than good. They are based on arbitrary claims and rationalizations. Should the regulations be finalized as currently formulated and implied, we are prepared to marshal our resources to file a lawsuit on behalf of consumers.

We expect to provide further analysis on Monday, April 28th, 2014. In the next week or two, we will issue a Call to Action detailing how the proposed regulations affect consumers along with suggested actions so that consumers can respond most effectively. Please remember that a comment to the FDA regulations made on Day 1 is given no more weight than a comment made on Day 75. We urge the vaping community and others interested in opposing regulation that discourages tobacco harm reduction to await further analysis before acting. There is no benefit in acting or opining precipitously."

Stay tuned...

Very sadly, I agree with this 100%. We the people are of little concern to big business and big government. The very idea that our government is concerned with the middle class is absurd. The vaping business and community is going to lose, simply not enough money to combat special interests. I would give anything to be wrong, but vaping will fall to Big Toabacco and FDA in the end. The fight will be valiant but the outcome, no doubt.

A quick update Reonauts...

If you have some spare time, give last Sunday night's VPLive podcast roundtable a listen.

Guests included:
Greg Conley – research fellow for The Heartland Institute and President of The American Vaping Association
David Dorn – Vaping advocate and host of UK's Vapourtrails TV
Bill Godshall – founder of Smoke Free Pennsylvania and vaping advocate
Oliver Kershaw – Owner of ECF (e-cigarette forum)
Jeff Stier – Senior fellow and head of the Risk Analysis Division
at the National Center for Public Policy Research in Washington, D.C.

Stream or download the replay HERE.

CASAA is still preparing it's official response. From their latest blog:

- "CASAA is preparing a response that will point out the flaws in the proposed regulations and is organizing its members and hundreds of thousand of other e-cigarette users in an attempt to persuade FDA about the harms this regulation would cause. Should that fail, it plans to fight the regulations in court."

This is VERY serious. I'll have to listen to VPLive's Sunday night replay again, because I couldn't believe the figures I was hearing. Something like how the FDA, in the last 20 years, has approved an absurdly small amount of new tobacco products. Bill Godshall and Greg Conley were throwing numbers like 10 million dollars per company in fees and filings at the end of the day. These two people do not speak in hyperboles to "freak you out," so I believe those figures when it comes from their lips.

Make no mistake, it's a de-facto ban that maybe only 2-3 companies that existed before the 2007 cutoff date and the Big Tobacco companies will be able to afford and comply with. Hardware companies will be affected. Unless Rob is willing to dissolve his LLC, move to the underground black market, and dodge the IRS and whatnot, say goodbye to the Reosmods company as we know and enjoy it today.

The general consensus is to for us, the consumers, to sit and wait for specific marching orders. Be ready to do something when the call for us to do so comes. There isn't a mad rush. A voice of opposition spoken tomorrow carries no more weight than a voice of opposition spoken on day 70 of the 75 day public comment period.

A clear and concise unified front is being organized.

Stay tuned...
