Yeah as far as I have read there is no regulation on it as far as the smoking bans. The way I read it is that each locale will be required to regulate. However once the official classification is over they will not be allowed in places that prohibit ALL tobacco products. IE schools and some hospitals. BUT with the way ecigs work I would love to see them prove I just went around the corner and vaped :p

Technically tobacco is not the only source of nicotine. It can easily be derived from many other vegetables and plants. :p

True, but most insurance companies test for cotinine, a metabolite of nicotine. If they find a certain level of cotinine, above a very low threshold to allow for exposure to nicotine from other sources, then you are considered a smoker.
