tobacco Cigarettes proven to cause various growths of cancer, and premature death as a result.

E-cigarettes have not had any known fatalities in almost a decade since inception, and users experience cardiovascular improvements once they make the switch(personal experience)...

I'll take my chances :glare:

Short version:
We cant prove it will kill you, but we wont allow it. It interferes with our approved products and may impact sales.

In glass #1, we have a solution that has a 25% chance of killing you (but it may take years for you to die, and it could be fast or slow when you do go).

This second glass contains an unknown chemical. We've actually tested this chemical and can definitely say that it looks like it's harmless (we could be wrong), but it's combined with a few other things. Those other things are also pretty harmless, but again, we could be wrong. And we're not completely sure how they interact, but early indications are that it's not terrible.

Drink one. Which do you choose?

It would be nice to say neither--and plenty of us are working toward that by reducing our nicotine levels--but for most smokers, that's not a valid option.

Just my :2c: As a nicotine addict, I want my fix. I was getting it through smoking. Through that 35 years of feeding my addiction, I realized it was affecting my health in an adverse way. I tried to leave my addiction to nicotine because I didn't like the side affects to the delivery system. I loved smoking, I hated what it was doing to me. I found a new delivery system, in the short term, it has reversed the adverse side affects of the old system.

I can only base my decision on how I feel. I can breath easier as a vaper, as apposed to a smoker. My lungs are now clear and there is no sign of asthma. I haven't needed inhalers for close to a year, around the time I switched to vaping.

Maybe vaping hasn't saved my life. What it has done, is given me a better quality of life. I/we are not guaranteed quantity of years, I have improved the quality of my time here.

Corrected :)

Its not a 100% death rate, when I hear people on this board stating that e-cigs saved their lives I stop and let a lil giggle out

The thing I don't like about these stats is that if you are a smoker things like, air pollution, exposure to Asbestos and many other things are automatically disqualified as the reason for death simply because they cause many of the same diseases. In China right now if you smoke they will call your death a smoking tragedy even though the smog levels are unusually high.

Edit: anecdotally I got caught behind a smart car in a A&w drive through one day he was half around the bend and I was right behind him, his exhaust was practically pouring in my window and it was the worst smelling and tasting Desiel exhaust I have ever experienced. That 5 minutes behind him probably caused more damage to my lungs and brain then a week worth of smoking did. I felt shady and off kilter the rest of the day. Yet this is a green machine. ....
