I see this term in many articles regarding FDA and E-Cigarettes "Substantial Equivalence Requirements". From what I have read, they are making some kind of move in April regarding E-Cigs, that will effect vapors one way or another. The question that we are all facing is "how will it effect us"? I don't want to sit here and say the sky is falling, but I'm concerned of any negative impact that it may have on the vaping community at large. I have read a posting by Michael Siegel, link included below. It sounds like allot of what if's, as the FDA is not showing their cards yet, But, what if.

What are all the possibilities here? Do we need to be concerned? Your thoughts!

I am not too concerned. I AM entertained by the FDA, the federal & state governments. They are alll making noise like it is for the good of their citizens, when it is blatantly obvious it is all about recovering the tax dollars they are loosing from so many switching off cigaretts to vapping.

With all the rebuildable atty's coming along, there really isn't that much they can restrict that will have any real effect on us. The one thing they can do is tax the hell out of nicotine or no longer allow nicotine to be shipped. Then I fully expect the creative ones of us to quickly evolve the art of extracting nicotine from tobacco or snus or potatoes. Worse comes to worse we start or continue to make out own juice at a '0' nic content.

As others have said, if the gov goes so far as prohibition, it will be very similar to the roaring 20's with bathtub e-juice. Eventually, it will all shake out with the government having egg on its face and more taxes.

the only thing that they CAN DO is tax the nic liquid...they cannot make it illegal because tobacco products cannot be made illegal and all the court jurisprudence says so

nothing else will have any effect on me, i can make my own device and keep it going using raw materials used in other industries
