Anyone else have 0mg-phobia?

In 2.5 years I've successfully gone from 15mg to 1.5mg. However since I left 3mg I've been taking things rather slowly, instead of dropping in 3mg steps I've been taking it in 0.5mg steps. I'm ready for 1mg soon, then maybe 0.5mg, but I still fear the 0mg...

:lol: I just keep topping off my bottles with 50/50. Don't know what the h____ I'm vaping, but even the withdrawal from flavor is going fine.

I only vaped 11mg eliquids for a very short while when I was switching to vaping after 42+ years of 1 - 1 1/2 PAD. Went then to 6mg, and haven't even tried going any lower. I'm at a "happy place" with it, and I'm honestly not even sure I want to try going lower. My health has improved; my house, car, clothes, and I all smell better; and I love it the way things are with my vaping.

My doctor hasn't even asked me if/when I'm going to go lower in Nic, nor has he suggested I get off Nic altogether. Also, I'm a study participant in the Moffitt Cancer Center 4 year long, $3.6 million study on ecigarettes. None of the doctors in charge of it have questioned my Nic level nor recommended going lower either. So...I'm fine where I am, until it's proven that it will benefit me health-wise to go lower, or proven that there are longterm, undesirable, health effects in my future, if I don't.

With the recent findings by others in the medical field that nicotine seems to be potentially beneficial as far as slowing down or positively affecting Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's...it gives me more to think about, too.

Just keep cutting your concentration in half each time. That way you'll never really hit 0 nic. Well, when you get down to one nicotine molecule, but by then you'll be long dead.
Let's see, if you started at 15mg/ml and vaped 5ml that would be 75mg per day. Divide that by 1000 to get grams, so 0. 075 grams. Now divide that by the molar mass of nic (162.23 g/mol) which is 4.6231x10^-4 mol. Now just multiply by Advogadro's number (6.022x10^23) to get 278401035566787893731 molecules of nic.
(I think that righto_O)
Just divide by two each time you want to cut down.

I do 6mg with tanks that use 1.2-1.8ohm coils and 3-6mg when using tanks that use 0.5ohm coils. With mechs I vape 1.5-2mg juice at 0.2-0.6ohms and I wouldn't want to go any higher.

I find that the wattage and coil resistance plays a huge part of where people end up nic-wise. I started at 12mg on a Nautilus/iStick and if I kept that setup I bet I would be at 6mg happily vaping away.

I tried mixing up 1mg with my mechs and it was noticeably not enough nic.

Not sure if I would ever do 0mg. If I got to that point, I would just likely stop vaping. If my body/little brain didn't need any nic to keep me off the smokes, I likely wouldn't see the point of vaping.

To each their own though. Whatever keeps people off cigarettes is cool with me!

Last winter I did go down to 0 mg and did not have any issues at all. Later in the year, past summer, I realized I went up in weight, about 15-20 lbs and it did not make sense since my life style has been the same even for the food intake. Went through physical exam and everything was fine there. Researched and learned that Nicotine is a stimulant to the brain so I decided to go back adding Nic to my DIY juices, 3 mg, starting in Aug. Right now, I can confirm that 5-10 lbs has been shed and I am closer to the weight I had one year ago.
It was discussed in another thread and some of you forum people experienced the same when going down to 0 nic.
I am going to get back to this and announce whatever conclusion in about 2-3 months.
BTW, is it really dangerous having nicotine added?

I was never very high, starting at 18mg back in the cigalike days. Eventually went down all the way to 0mg for awhile, which may coincide with my weight gain (though I never made any connection before) but went back to nic and my weight stabilized.
Nicotine itself is one of the least dangerous chemicals in cigarettes; similar to caffeine. It even has certain specific health benefits, so don't ever worry about having to keep nic in.

I smoked 38 years. Started at 18 mg nicotine. Since i DIY my Juice i lowered tge nic 1 mg about every 6 weeks.

Every time i went down i woukd vape more for 2-3 days abd my body got acclimated to lower nicotine.

Been vaping 0 mg nicotine for 9 months. Doing great.

When I was first using Cig-A-Likes I was at 18 to 24 MG and with my first MOD went to 6MG. At first an occasional spike of a tank with some 18MG but within a month went to 3MG where I am now. I was toying with 1.5MG and an occasional zero but I enjoy my vape with Nicotine at the level I am at. Doesn't matter if I Sub Ohm or drip I am still at 3MG. Now I just recently changed any DIY recipes that were 1.5 to make them 3MG. This is how I feel now and although it might change back to going lower levels I doubt that it will happen.

In my opinion, juice tastes better with a lil nicotine. Without it, it tastes like its missing a flavor.
I use 10ml of 100mg in 480ml of juice and its just enough to get the nic fix we need. I use about 10ml of juice per day, the same with the hubby.
We really don't miss the higher levels, our juice just tastes complete with a lil nic :)

@Kprthevapr I found out recently that it is true at least for me. I won a 60ML bottle of Fog Minions Bake Sale which I use as a morning vape and it came in Zero. First I need my nicotine even at my 3MG level in the AM but even though the e-Liquid was good it lacked something. So I added enough to make it 3MG and it tastes even better then before!
