I'm not sure why people buy imitation Vivi Novas just to save a couple of dollars and then suffer all the aggravation associated with cheap knockoffs. Spend a couple of extra bucks (less than the cost of a hamburger) to buy the real thing, and avoid the aggravation.

And vendors who are selling imitations should CLEARLY state that they are not the real thing. I know for a fact that HoosierEcig sells the real thing, and so does GotVapes. I haven't had any problems with my genuine Vivi Novas, and none of them have ever leaked a single drop.
My thoughts exactly.

I noticed that you never mention trying a tank. Do it and save yourself all the headaches. I'm not saying that they work for everyone, but I use the eGo twist with a tank and a 3.0 SC Boge and it has never let me down. Over two months with the same carto in this tank and no lose of taste or TH. tanks are cheap and easy to use and refill. Cartos are cheap as well. Try one out and see what you think. I believe you'll enjoy the experience alot more.

hey rebel - i did think of useing a tank, i really want to buy some boge cartos, some 2ohm and 3ohm ones but when im one the go i dont want to have to top them off with drips evey 1-2hours. can u recomend a easy cheap tank to get? u say tanks are cheap? i see alot of tanks, some look like junk and some look really nice ($$$$). what tanks do u use that are cheap and hold a boge 35mm carto??

if u have links id <3 u

I use 1.7 Smoketech carto's with DCC tanks.

My juice goes a lot further than using Clearo's and if I get frustrated with a Cartomizer I simply throw it away and get a new one out.

Don't get me wrong, you can become annoyed with Carto tanks too BUT when you have a good Carto in a tank and everything is working properly you can also go DAYS without so much as getting a single dry hit. I have already put about 24 mls of juice through a Cartomizer I stuck into a 6 ml tank last Saturday and it's still going strong producing lots of vapor and it tastes fine.

I have noticed a lot of folks are talkng up the Vivi Nova and the current version of the stardust lately. I use both myself BUT I have never been able to get as good of a vape off a clearo than I can from a Carto tank and neither one of those Clearo's gives me a CONSISTENTLY good hit like my Carto tanks DO.

Triple V Polypro Tanks Cheap AND polypro so no juice damage or BPA's AND a screw in the side so you can top up without taking the top off.

However, the issue of whether or not you sometimes have to top off the carto is based SOLELY on your ability to punch their right holes for the filler, your juice, and your vape style. But for that you only take off the drip tip. Either way, you don't have to disassemble the tank until the carto is dead, or at least dead-enough to need Taryn Spin (see youtube) and cleaning.

Sent you a PM Maxx with some links. Like others said, tanks can be the light or darkness for a vaper. But I'm a believer in them and I've never had a problem with leaking and dry hits. Like I said, still using the same carto I put in the tank two months ago and it still hits like a truck. Try one out and let me know how it works for you. And PM me if I can help anymore. Good luck!

How did you get a carto to last that long? I use boge's in a tank and they clog up in two days. Got a ultra sonic cleaner and it only cleaned the filler. Please tell me about your set up and vg pg mix you use. Is the juice clear?

I use the Boges as well, a 3.0 ohm single punched carto in a 3.4ml tank. I tend to enlarge the hole a little for the higher voltage as they use more juice than lower ones. Keeping the filler wet and happy is key to a long carto life. To little juice and you get that burnt nasty taste and it takes a toll on the carto. Too much juice and you get the clogging and gurgle. Fine line but one that can be had with some practice. Are you buying prepunched cartos or punching your own? Do you use a VV PV or a regulated one?

I vape RY4 almost always. Sometimes I mix it up with some Turkish or stronger tobacco juice, but it is always a 60pg/40vg blend and mostly darker juices. I use an eGo Twist VV when I'm on the road and a Lavatube VV at home. I stay in the 4.0 to 4.7 range depending on the juice and I vape about 3 to 5ml of juice a day. One point to make is that I do rotate three different tanks for the different flavors, but the majority of the time the one with the RY4 is what I use. Stronger vapes are for early morning and later evening. So it gets the most use. I've never had a clogging or flooding problem and I've never cleaned this carto yet. Amazing I know, but maybe I found my spot and it keeps the cartos running. But since I've switched to the Boge/ tank combo I haven't had a carto last less than a month. I really don't have any suggestions except maybe to keep the punch hole a little smaller to reduce the flow? I need to know some more about your set up as well...

2 and a half weeks and I am still using the same head on my Vivi nova V4.
I did get a hint of the burnt taste starting to come in with my newbie forgetfulness of my finger still on the button while I was drooling in flavour overload (testing a new Flavour and I may have put too much in lol ).
PS my liquid is clear and my flavours are all imitation. that is they are not crushed apples or Dried Tomato's mixed in with pulverised South American Dancing Flowers and sprinkled with fairy dust. just pure Chem chem for me ;) ( I wasn’t winking its just a twitch I have developed lately lol ) JK

I want to see how long my new approach will get me. Then I will take it apart and rebuild it. but I will take a picture of it before I take it apart just to see how the Glass is Reacting and getting full etc etc. anyone know of any threads I can look at at the moment that will show just that ?

Doh, Spoke too soon, It just went bung on me.

Never mind though, I could rebuild it or replace it with a new head for just 70c, but I did try taking the outside off and dunking the coil in water with it lit, if flooded so I shook the water off then lit it again, and then dunked and so on. Before all this it was so full of black junk, probably from the several chocolate flavour fill ups I put through it in its first day or two lol, forgot about that.

ok so just getting the Liquid to come in now. .... wait....... ps its a 2.4ohm short wick...... YEAH :D its alive lol. I still got it , Yee harrr..... But I still wonder if it was the chocolate flavour I had purchased and wicked through it or the head. Oh Well. I will only put clears through it and see how it goes.

I am slightly curious though about the Carto set up. Rebel would you be kind enough to send me some links. including the carto's
Cheers ;) (twich)

hey all - i need help, im just fed up. i had a 650 ego passthro, it died- replaced w/ an ego twist and im playing w/ the VV wheel on the bottom.
basically im fed up w/ all my tips (clearo bs) ive got this clearo and n tried that clearo and tried the vivi nova (knock off brand i think , grrr) mini, and this and that. nothing is consistant, everything is junk, most of it leeks, flavors changes on all tips, flavors linger.. new wick taste is horrible for 1st day and it goes onnnnnn. im just getting discouraged and im tired of spending more money. i just want something that WORKS. ive been thinking about making the switch to cartos.

like a smok teck 1.7 ohm single coil on my ego twist. is this a good option? load up on cartos? use till there done n trash? i know they use filler material i drip into, people seem to like them? help?

there cheaper i like that, and no wick. will i be happy w/ a 1.7ohm single coil on my ego twist? around 3.9-4.2V??

im thinking of buying some ejuice from RAWR - ive heard great things and i really want to try some serums but i just want a tip (carto, atty, clearo) that works and will deliver good flavor and throat hit and be conststant and work on my ego and not piss me off..... cuz latly hows it been going ive had fleeding thoughts of going back to analogs and i really dont want to.

please help!

I guess you could say I've been around the block a few times over the past year. I've tried tanks, clearomizers, 901t-tanks, eGo tanks (A and B) cE2s CE3s, DCTs, yada yada. After a few months I retired them all and went back to cartomizers. No regrets. Now I ALWAYS get a good vape EVERY TIME. And it's easy to refill, and clean them to make 'em last a good long time. And there's no hassle. No fussing. No having to puff a zillion times to get primer taste outta there.

For my KR808 equipment (I have a pile of X2s in 650, 900 and 1300 plus some Elite e-cigs) I use the Elite cartomizers. In fact...I use the Elite cartomizers with an adapter on my eGos and kGos and Gripper, too! I also have the aforesaid eGos etc. and like to use eGo Mega cartomizers. I don't much care for dual coils (more on that in a minute) and use 1.7ohm single coil eGo Megas, 2ohm, and 3ohm (with VV). LOVE the 1.7 ohm on the ego type stuff.

I will use dual coils IF I'm using my LavaTube, Twist or kGo VV. But that is the only time I use them. They are 1.5ohm dcs...and I vape them around 3.2 to 3.4 volts. I don't like to use them on my eGos etc. because they are battery charge killers.

For my small non variable voltage Gripper I like the Kanger 510 44mm cartomizers and the 2ohm 44mm cartomizers that are at Hoosiers. I assume they are SLB because he doesn't mention the brand. I have used Boge. They are okay. Barely. Will do in a pinch, but don't last as well as the others mentioned.

Tanks were not a fit for me. They are not for everyone. Nothing wrong with a good cartomizer...and you can get good ones that hold a lot and last nearly forever. For me...makes no sense to hassle with any sort of tank at this point. Wasted a lot of money learning that lesson. That's life.

Thanks for the response. I think my holes are to big then. I am also using a little more VG in the juice. Will have to try them two things and see if it helps. Its been a while since I used a tank. Was just thinking about making another one.

I *heard* those RESSURECTORS are pretty good ..... been meaning to try them.

I was pretty darn frustrated as a newbie myself, then thought how much more work it would be to have to go to chemo treatments for cancer........or be on breathing apparatus like my Mom for COPD.......so.......

decided to stick with vaping, no matter what!

thank you everyone for all your help. i ordered 2 packs of boge cartos, 1 pack pre punched and 1 pack reg - both packs are comming pre tested so no DOA's. i also ordered 2 tripple V tanks for valley view vapes and they got rave reviews. 8 bucks and they come w/ a pre punched boge in it. i also put in an order to rawr vapor for some juice, 70/30 pg/vg. figured that would be a good mix for the tanks to seep into the cartos via the punch holes. can any one give me any advice on filling a carto (priming it for tank usage) and filling the tank/carto correcty to get a good flow, with no flooding or dry hits ect? any advice or youtube links would be awasome! keep in mind my tanks i ordered have a screw hole for filling (figured good newbie tank to fill) so rly how do i prime the carto the right way to ensure good seepage from the tank w/o flooding ect

also on the twist ( or ne VV for that matter) what volt do u guys vape 2.0 ohm cartos @? 3.3-3.8v range??

thank u all again for your help - i fixed my vivi nova and its working okay now - so thats holding me will wed when my boges and juice and tanks come. ive heard alot of good things about cartos and boges and tanks. and after reading all ur responces i remember when i started vaping about 3 months ago i was using a Blu and i purchaed my own cartos form them at the local vape store (so i didnt have to waste $ on the expensive blu ones) and i remember LOVING the flavor on the cartos on my blu (back when the blu did it for me) - so i dont know why i went from cartos to clearo's i guess my kit just came w/ clearos and my cartos went by the way side - but im excited to get back to my roots. thank u all again for all your help and concern

ps. didnt have to go back to analogs over this debocal. took some time to clean nova well and get it limping enough to hold me till wed :)

My advice from experience, and this may differ from other people, is to just assembly the tank/ carto set up, fill the tank, and give it a few minutes for the juice to seep into the carto. You may have to add a little more to the tank once the carto takes it's drink. I don't do anything with the carto when it comes to priming. That's what the puch hole is there for. Last time I added some juice to my carto when it was in a tank, it flooded like crazy and all I got was gurgling and frustration. If you feel that the carto may be a bit dry, or you using a thicker juice, you can do a couple of dry hits without hitting the button to draw more juice into the carto. You should actually be able to see some bubbles coming from the punch hole as it draws the juice in. The top of the carto may look dry which is ok, since the punch hole is located at the bottom of the carto, the juice will naturally stay near the bottom and close to the coil. If you still end up with dry hits, then you can drip a few drops on top to help soak the filling, but be careful not to over do it or else you'll need to pull the carto and blow it out and make a mess and swear alot. Not fun. Good luck!

This is only part of my setup but what I use the most. I have the twist with some Boge and Smoke Tech carto's right around the 3.0 ohm. I also have the HH357 atomizer I use for dripping and I have never been happier. Just a thought, this has worked great for me. Worth the extra money because you save in the long run because they last a lot longer. Best of luck!!
