Hey guys,

so I'm really new to vaping. the only thing I have vaped so far is an ego-w carto on an ego 650, with some pretty poor quality grape ejuice that came with the starter kit. ive used about 5 tanks so far and im noticing that im getting a lot of dry, burnt hits, is this because the wicks are clotting? do i need to replace them?

anyway.... want to look into buying something new but im not sure what to try. recommend a few cartomizers or attomizers. i would like a cartotank because of the convenience factor being able to hold much more juice, but id also be down to try a nice atty if the flavor is better!

links would be helpful, and let me know what it is that you like about them. like always, thanks for the help!

What kind of tanks do you have? Carto tanks? If so, the cartomizer in the tank needs to be replaced quite often.

I like Kanger eGo-threaded clearomizers a lot--T3, baby T3, and eVod (bottom coil) or T2 (top coil). Very user friendly.

The best cartomizers are Boge or SmochTech single-coil ones.

If you like carto tanks, my favorite one for the eGo-class batteries is the Boge F15.

BOGE F15 TANK CARTOMIZER 1 ML - $4.00 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes

Good luck and happy vaping.

Great info from the above 2 posts. Basically all you needed! I love clearomizers. I feel they last a lot longer than cartomizers in carto tanks do. & I like the choice to be able to rebuild the clearomizer by rewrapping a coil around a new wick by watching a youtube how-to video. You can easily do so! :) It makes things cheaper and gives ya a little hobby to look forward to. Carto tanks are nice, but cartos are disposable so, make sure you stock up if you go the carto tank rout. I like the clearomizers that obs recommended. For cartomizers, I like the cartomizers that katya suggested. Good luck. Both are good. Comes down to what you want in a tank.

I'm pretty new to the world of vaping but I started with a carto tank on a Vamo V2. Have had a lot of problems finding some good juice. I bought most of my stuff from a local B&M (brick and mortar) and their juice is horrible. (imo) So now I am going to give the Vision Vivi Nova a try. I have an iClear 16 that I really like except it is too small of a tank. Hoping the Vivi Nova will be the ticket. Also ordered a few bottles of juice from Heathers Heavenly Vapes and Vapor Renu. Good luck and happy vaping!!

My preference would be for the cartotank as well, esp. the IBTanks. I currently own seven IBTanks, and more are likely in my future.

There is a slight learning curve and filling them is slightly longer and more involved but the end result is worth it. For me they provide the best flavor, I don't need to constantly tip my battery device so that the string wicks that they use in the clearomizers and Vivi Novas stay wet, and they are more durable (pocket worthy) than a clearomizer of Vivi Nova tank. If you use the polypropylene or pyrex tubed tanks, you needn't worry that some flavors may crack or melt the plastic tubes that clearomizers or Vivi tanks use.

I personally, no longer purchase a tank unless it's made of pyrex glass. They just feel more durable (but you still have to be cautious). Also, I was kind of turned off by clearomizers after my first purchase which included a mini vivi nova and kanger t3 (muted flavor, leaking issues etc). UNTIL, I started using the ProTank. There is a love/hate relationship when it comes to the ProTank but I haven't had any issues with it

I like the kanger t3/mt3s personally (still waiting for my local B&M to get their shipment of pro tanks in). I think buying a t3/mt3 would be a good start. They can be had for $4-$6 and if after you try them you find you like them replacement heads usually run about $10 for a pack of 5.
I would start there and if you enjoy the vape you get with them try upgrading to the kanger pro tank. They'll run you about $15-$20 but you get a glass (pyrex) tank that will stand up to harsher (think heavy citrus, cinnamon etc.) juices. Depending on how thick your juices are you may need to remove 1 or both of the extra pieces of wick on the heads. Literally takes about 30 seconds, and you can find a bunch of guides and videos on the subject.

Good luck and happy vaping.
