I've been vaping over 3 yrs and I have given up for a yr and half then I started smoking again. When I started again to vape it started out well so I bought some decent tanks.
Nautilus mini, aero tank mini both never performed on an mvp 2. Now after a couple of weeks my new aero tank mega, is showing 9.9 to 4 ohms on my istick. Changed atomiser same thing, cleaned out same thing. Tried different ohms attys.
am I doing something wrong maybe I'll just dump the tanks and get a mow which I have. I don't know...
Maybe take my aero tank mega back to shop as only had a few weeks..
Help please.....
Feeling like crap right now...

I never found a truly satisfying vape until I got into rebuildables. However, now, there's the Atlantis tank. That's what I'm recommending to friends who want to start vaping. Although, you'll want a better battery device. Hate to tell you to scrap what you've got and start over but.... Scrap it and start over. An amazing vape awaits you with a little better gear.

It might be your istick, not the aerotank. 510s are the weak point of most mods.

I cleaned my coils each night by soaking them in isopropyl alcohol (kanger coils). In the morning I would rinse them, blot them and leave them to dry. I rotated 2 coils per AT using that method. And the 2 per clearo lasted about a month. I used to vape the 2.0ohm coils around 8.5W on my mvp.

You need to clean 510s on mods and attys at least weekly.

You Tube almost always has videos on the maintanance of vape gear. Just go to the site and type in the name of the specific tank you use. Many do a full demo of its use and maintanance.
Hey Baddy!!! Good to see you again!!! We missed you!

On topic: it sounds like maybe the istick is the problem. Clean the threads out real good as noted. Do you have another power supply besides the istick to use to see if your attys are working properly?

The main thing I don't like about the iStick is the fidgitty positive pin. It's not really "solid". I have a Kayfun and an Orchid, and I've noticed, if I switch from the Kayfun to the Orchid, I have to use a toothpick to pull up the positive pin for it to read the Orchid at all. Also, if I switch from the Orchid to the Kayfun, I have to do the same, or the Kayfun reads all funny.

Yeah the pin is an issue I'm hoping it's sorted in mvp3 tho.

I will second that about the Atlantis tank. It's flat out amazing and no fidgeting with builds so great on the go or if you're a very busy person. Also you need something that will fire a .5 ohm coil. I got the Sigelei 100w and find it to be a fantastic combination. I run mine (depending on the juice) between 25-32 watts. The one drawback I find is the tank is only 2.5 ml, and that means you're refilling more often than with most others. However...and I'm not sure who all knows this... there is a new 8ml tank about to be released that is made for the Atlantis. Check it out at kidneypuncher dot com. The Kraigen 8ml Atlantis Tank.

That said, I wouldn't scrap the others..well, maybe the Kangers :) The Nautilus is still a standard for many people and if you get that iStick going right, 10w or so should make it shine. Clean that 510 as per other's instructions and it may be a-ok. I use my iStick and Nautilus every dang day.

You have already gotten some fantastic suggestions but I just wanted to say I hope things turn around and I read about how happy you are vaping again. I've said for a long time that vaping will never quite be as easy as grabbing a pack of ciggies but if you stop and really think of the advantages that you already know. . . you will be fine. Big hug to you.
