Hey guys, just wanted to share some of what vaping has done for me and most of my family.

My brother quit smoking 15 months ago exactly and hasn't touched one since. Gotta give it to him, he really came a long way.

Myself, I quit 5 weeks ago and going strong. Just got tired of all the ill effects analogs were giving me (and my wallet) so I decided a needed a change, this is when I got an Ego kit and everything took off from there.

My wife, she's supported me quitting the entire way and even quit herself cold turkey 3 weeks ago! She's been wanting to quit but never had the motivation. Seeing me give up analogs for vaping must have gave her the courage to quit. All the credit in the world to her, with everything she does for me and around the house.

My dad, a smoker of 40 years asked me about vaping last week. I'm no professional, but I shared what I know of vaping and some of the basics. We visited a local vape shop later to get him set up and he hasn't had an analog since!

Just thought I'd share how vaping really can have a positive effect on you and the people around you.

Thank you, and congratulations! Staying away from them improves living drastically. From health concerns, to simply smelling and tasting.

I'm definitely going to keep supporting my wife and dad into staying away from them. She's been finding it hard in stressful situations but I just tell her how strong of a woman she is, and she knows she can do it.

For the mental side of things it does come down to just willpower (which, from studies I have read, gets stronger with use). For me at least no amount of willpower replaced the nicotine or ritual part of the habit. I am really glad for the vaping community that has grown as I have been miserable for five years. Vaping has lifted that burden.

Isn't it amazing though how long it took somebody to invent this stuff? I mean this could have been done back in the sixties, it's hardly high tech equipment.

Oddly enough, it was invented in the 1960s by a man named H. A. Gilbert, but it was never picked up and marketed.

It's a shame that it did not catch on; I wonder if most of us would have even started if this had been widely available many years ago.

Fascinating, most people credit the Chinese with inventing vaping. Thank you for sharing this. Vaping would not have been interesting in those days. Cigarettes were still 'cool' and accepted pretty much universally.

11/19/2013, my analog quit day, I felt amazing that day, and walked an extra mile with my doggies. It just happened to be a gorgeous sunny day with temps in the 70's, so that just made the day even better. And for some reason I did not get the cravings I started to get on the days following. But my vaping has made each and every quit day easier even with the occasional craving thrown in. :)

17 months for me :) Almost 18 :)

I quit, my daughters both quit, and my daughter's fiance has been doing pretty well, with just the occasional analog,,,,,,

we're working on my other daughter's husband now,,,,,,,but he's out of state (long haul trucker) so he's a bit harder to work on,,,,,,,

just wait til he's home though

Grats to you and yours and tell your dad from someone his own age, it really is as good if not better than what he is used to, 42 years I burned the baccy and I tried one last month and it just tasted like nothing, wondering now what ever the attraction was because I can smell again, taste again, my asthma has all but disappeared since starting the leccies so try him on a stronger mg as a dyed in the wool smoker is probably not even going to feel a low mg nic and try a decent atomising tank rather than a weaker carto/disposable as I am sure he will find it as seamless as I did :)

Good luck
