It's been several years since I joined and vaped. I was originally a joye 510 user and gradually lost bits and pieces and stopped using it about 2 years ago.

I just saw a store today called Vaperholic and and had to check it out. Of course my first question was "are these for ........ or nicotine" since I live in SoCal, haha.

So after 40 minutes and many more questions, I walked out of the store minus $71.29 and 1000mah ego c-twist.

My question is basically "Whah"? tanks? vape "stores"?! I thought I was somewhat informed but I guess times have changed.

I keep looking around for a review of my orig 510 from cignot I bought 4 years ago vs what I just bought and I can't find much info.

Congratulations on your acquisition. It's like going from Windows 2000 to Windows 7...innovation to innovation. The Joye 510 was the "it" The 1000mAh twist is great! Battery life is great. You'l find you sweet spot, on it...4.0V-4.25V for me...on any clearo I've used(2.5-3.0 Ohm).
Just wait 'till you get the fever; APV's, glass tanks, the perfect juice? So much out there. Go to you tube and "LEARN" pbusardo. He has very good reviews on all the good stuff...and bad.

I really hope I don't have to learn about all that but like the idea of adjusting the hit, low in the morning, high for strong cravings.

Well, I'm new, but welcome back. Still the 1000mah Twist and a good tank is a good place to get back started. The 510s are a good stealth vape or backup system for me, and they still make cartos and even micro-tanks for them so not useless ;). Biggest adventure for you will be to see if cartomizer encasing tank, top or bottom coil clearomizer (still a tank), or re-buildable atomizer will be up your alley, then from there you'll start looking at "Oh, if only I could adjust the coil temp a notch this way or that way), you'll start looking at the larger, more expensive bases. Still all in all the Twist opens that door for you to understand it a bit better. :)

Hi Kate, Welcome back. The twist will serve you well. You already know the basics from your time/grief associated with the 510. And no.... what you have is nothing like the old sticks from back then, other than the threading.... Enjoy your new device. If you have any speedbumps along the way we will all be here for you, just ask. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
