Okay so I am only on day 2 of vaping.
I have the Ego and when I ordered it, it came with 2 complete egos. I also got 5ml each of VG only menthol and vanilla.
I had both my attys primed and was using one for vanilla and the other or menthol.
Well all was going good until today when I recieved extra attys I ordered, some flat tip carts, and my juice order from FSUSA.
Most would say that was a good freakin day.

Here comes the crying part.... I switched my menthol tainted atty and cartridge for a new atty and cartridge. I first tried almond joy ( 24 mg PG/VG 50/50). It was incredibly strong and I chalked it up to my atty not being broken in.
So then I switched out my other ego cart and tried the Ry4 ( 30 mg PG/VG 50/50). That too was incredibly strong and had me gagging. Keep in mind, my atty on this Ego is finely broken in.

Did I just throw all that money away on juice? I also ordered caramel cinnamon bun. I didnt want to dirty up another cart to try this and am so frustrated and overwelmed right now.

I feel like giving up. Instead I just put my menthol atty back on and my old faithful menthol cart and liquid back in my purse.

I feel like I have too many carts going and dirty at one time now and I also feel like I went to "hard" so to speak on the nicotine. Everytime I ordered a nicotine level it was the medium level.

Please talk me off the ledge so to speak. I was so excited about his but am feeling slightly defeated now:(

I get this too...you're not alone. I just had to swap out almost 90 ml of juice because it was 18mg. I started at that level but now that I've been vaping for over 7 months, I find myself in the 9-12mg range as a comfort zone. Also consider that different juices will give a different TH. Cinnamons and Menthols sometimes give more TH at lower levels, but not from the actual nic in them.

What was the nic content from the VG bottles of menthol and vanilla? Also, if you ordered juice with more PG in them, then that will also contribute to more TH. Most say that VG will give a more mellow but slightly sweeter vape while PG will be "harsher" for lack of a better word, being dryer and giving more TH. Maybe a lower nic is all you need :D Don't give up, just take your juice that you don't want over to the PIF thread and swap it out for something that you feel you will like in your range!

Good luck :D

Yeah, the problem is most likely too high of a nic level, considering most places describe 18ish as Medium and 24-36ish as either High or Extra-High. If you want to continue using those liquids without diluting them, though, it is possible to get used to the throat hit, and doesn't take much time. I didn't smoke much compared to a lot of people on these forums (about 2-3 packs per week), yet, I started out vaping 36mg. I made the mistake of taking too big a drag a couple times and wound up either lightheaded or even coughing and tearing up, like a teenager who just smoked pot for the first time and took a giant drag off a blunt or something. After that, I learned to just inhale very lightly, and I got used to it rather quickly. Now I can take a big drag no problem.

First, if you LIKE the menthol, just stick with that for awhile. If you want to be trying a lot of different flavors, I'd suggest 510 cartomizers. It's the cheapest way to get a bunch of atomizers to try with different flavors (and they work fine with an Ego.) It's hard to tell if you got too high of a nic content, or if you just didn't like the flavors. It happens, I think we all have wasted money on juice we ended up hating. Sometimes if you don't like a juice immediately you can put it away for awhile and try it at some other time, and you will like it better. But sometimes that doesn't happen. I have juices I've just hated, and put away, then tried again, and I finally have to face the fact that I just hate it and it gets sent to the Island of Misfit Ecig Stuff in my office drawer. I guess this is why we have the Pay It Forward forum.

Just go to the classifieds section or find a swap thread (like the one tastyvapor has here) and post what you have for trade and what you want in return :)

Easy way without spending much money, get a couple of bubble mailers for like 64 cents each and mail it as first class usps for $1.37.

Cheap alternative to putting it down the drain and having to buy more juice....

Get off the ledge and wipe your tears. Now....breathe.....now celebrate a life without stinky sticks. Yes, you will have growing pains, we have all been there. It takes a bit of a learning curve to find tour sweet spot...right hardware, right e-liquid, right strength, right atty. We are all different and we all have different needs, tastes and priorities...ie...throat hit vs flavor...just one example. Stick and stay.Follow the above good advice. Read everything, ask questions and feel free to PM me to talk you down anytime.
Happy vaping
Bonnie
imho...sounds like nic is too high...cut it with VG from craft store or Wal Mart in cake decorating aisle

thank you everyone. I really appreciate it. Wouldnt it be nice if we all had a local store where we can taste our flavors before we bought them? LOL

Hi Harmony...sorry for your troubles :(. I strongly urge you to join Pay it Forward, it's a great group of people there and there is always samples of juice to try from different vendors. You could PIF the juices that you have and recieve new ones to try. We are all so different in our tastes, what might be too strong or weak may be just the right one for someone else. I was kind of shy the first couple of weeks and just lurked there, but after reading all the nice responses to people who could only offer a little there and weren't getting flamed for it, I could see that it was a great place to make friends and try out some new liquids.

I'm kind of a Backwoods Brew junkie myself, because I've had some bad experiences with juice orders from other companies...just plainly didn't like them, lol! But, I know there have got to be tons of other vendors out there with great liquid so the PIF experience is an inexpensive way of finding out which juices will work for you.
Stay off the ledge girl....this is just a small bump in the road.

You're always going to get stuff once in a while that you don't like. Just like shopping at the grocery store and trying something new. The good news is that you'll often get stuff that you like. Try some of the suggestions on using the PIF, or diluting it down a bit with some weaker juice. I'm a horrible juice junky. I'll vape one kind for an hour to a week before I switch them up. Once in a while I get something thats not so great. I either pass it along to someone else I know thats trying out vaping or experiment with mixing it with something else. I have a couple of combos that I love from doing that.

You started with great stuff, remember to enjoy the successes too!

I let a friend try my ecigs and he thought some juices were too harsh. The ones he liked best were the FSUSA's 50/50 blends. They seam mild to me and also did to him. And I use 36 nic. You could add some no nic VG and that would for sure make it milder. Someone around here can tell you where to but it cheep locally. Maybe it was at the Drug Store? Try some small batches to find what you like. Then you will be a DIYer.

For future reference if you want to try this, you can get the vg at places like Michaels (food grade) in the cake decorating section. Wilton makes it. Glad it all worked out!

I have been thinking about that too, we have NOTHING here in MA wonder how hard it would be to open up a shop? LOL...THAT would be a BLAST to be able to introduce this to people....

I am one lucky girl as I have The Vaping Lounge to do just that. I pay double compared to buying e-juices online, but figure I'm still ahead then buying juice I don't like. However, it's also a very high-quality e-juice.

Don't give up, and stay on these forums and ask for help, just like you're doing. :) I just got started, too, and can't believe how these e-cigs have done the impossible: Getting me off analogs after 35+ years of smoking!! We're going to have growing pains and a learning curve, but it's all worth it! :) Hang in there!!
