Hello There,

I am a newbie here and I hope everyone is doing great? Anyway I stopped smoking 73 days ago and made the switch to vaping. I basically just stopped smoking and first two weeks I found it quite easy with the switch it was kind of a novelty and a new hobby. Then a few weeks into it I started getting really stressed out, had mega anxiety and depression and I think it was me getting used to different levels of nicotine etc. Though I do suffer from anxiety disorder anyway it just seemed a bit extreme. The past 10 days I finally felt a bit on a even keel and felt that I had finally found the right nicotine level.

Though for some reason I have just lit and smoked an analog cigarette I don't even know why I tried it, I just wanted to see how I would feel etc and it tasted disgusting. Have any of you guys and gals ever done the same? I don't feel a strong pull back to cigarettes at all but there was some psychological click that made me want to try it. Does it mean I am back to square one and the past 73 days was a waste of time. Just feel really guilty beyond words.

Thanks for reading this far.

Cheers
Mark

Meh, a lot of us vaped and smoked at the same time, or switched back and forth before quitting for good. I wouldn't beat myself up over it.

And now you know how disgusting those cigarettes really taste. What a disappointment, right? Ultimately it was that nasty taste that got me to quit for good. Just couldn't stand it.

That really was a good thing not a bad thing. It gave you reason not to try one again because it IS Disgusting. I think a lot of us did that at one point. Don't fret about it and just keep on vaping. :vapor:

I find that most ex-smokers tend to have a few moments of "weakness" and even curiosity. I've yet to see one that didn't find it disgusting and even nauseous over it though.

But even my wife that vaping was the only thing that did work for her after a life of smoking, admits that even 8 years later, she still has moments where she almost crave a "real one". She did a few times and felt crappy afterwards.

I try to smoke now and again. Like, deliberately, to see!
I really don't like it...urgh... that distinctive taste of tar....

No though, don't feel bad. If you get the strong desire to take in a huge nicotine dose (like we might with food or alcohol) have a 100w mod on standby with a huge cloud RDA set-up... :)

You are just fine. I have admit I tried to light my ePipe once....but only once. I still stick my finger in the bowl to see if it's lit" sometimes. Almost 60 years of pipes and cigars will do that to a guy. Used to burn the crap out of my finger doing that. Only vape the ePipe once in while these days. The Reo is my daily do good...

They say it is only one cig a day that continues the disease. I feel a lot better, I have confidence and self-respect, too. Cigs taste like crap! I enjoy the flavors. I have 7 test bottles (5ml) ready today after after having steeped.

I don't mind any amount of nicotine because it is not the evil part of the cigarette/vaping issue. Like you, I need to find moments to settle myself and relax. I use vaping. I take the dog for a walk, sit on the porch, tinker at the workbench, or listen on my wireless headphones. I love my music and my 17 doctors say that it is good.

My doctor approves and my dentist noticed a change in my gums. I didn't tell him that I switched, but I did smile.

I really think that cig smoke/smoking is detrimental in so many ways. It is even interrupting of my life.

I do like the hobby side of vaping and the social interaction of talking about experiences.

Many reasons not to smoke, many reasons to vape.

Feeling guilty is probably one of the worst things you could do so don't;)
How could 73 days smoke free be a waste of time?

Don't feel bad Mark everyone does it at least once. My analog experience came from my habit of smoking one in bed. The APV couldn't be held upside down, so I grabbed an analog. Ugh how disgusting. So the very next morning I found some surgical tubing and made a line for my APV. Tada bedtime smoke. I adapted rapidly to trashing the tube. That was the first and last time I will smoke an analog.
