Hi all,
This is my first time posting. I just received the Titan 510 and am looking forward to using it. However, I'm feeling a little nervous as I've heard people can be allergic to the glycerine in the cartridges. Is this like a fatal allergy or something? How common is it? How would someone know if they are allergic?
Thanks very much for any response! The only reason I ask is that I'm paranoid about this stuff as I have gone into anaphalaxis before (to sulfa, not food or anything like that) so I get scared when "ingesting" new things.
Thanks!
Lightfoot

Lightfoot---good question that no one could answer here for you with certainty. Many people are allergic to all types of different things including reports of VG and PG. Just like your reaction to sulfa--you just can not tell until you actually try it. There are sking tests for some items, but at best, they are sparce. Wheather you want to risk trying it, just like anything else you try new, is your decision. Consult an allergist if you what real clarification. Good Luck----Sun

Lightfoot like what was stated before everone reacts diff. But pg Propylene glycol is everwhere
IE:
In food – Cake mixes, salad dressings, soft drinks, popcorn, food colorings, fat-free ice cream and sour cream. It also protects food from freezing and helps as a preservative.
In toiletries and cosmetics – Lotions, creams, some baby wipes (though not in the brand I have in my cabinet), shampoos, antiperspirants, cosmetics, lipstick, lubricants
In other household items – Room deodorizers, cleaners, sanitizers
  • I am also a tankerman and fill barges with this stuff every now and then. I will put my face over the man hole to check my product level and the stuff I pump is in the VERY strong state.
  • hopefully this helps

Hi Lightfoot, I think I have a slight sensitivity to PG based liquid. I got a little nausea and a little gassy:oops: (TMI, I know LOL) and a little dizziness. I also was vaping too much and I think I was taking in too much nicotine for me. I cut some of my liquids down to 6mg of nicotine using VG so they are now pretty much 50% VG and 50% PG and all those issues resolved themselves. So now I can vape my face off all day and not get too much nicotine and the VG seems to be fixing whatever problems the VG was giving me. Hope that helps. :D
