Congrats to you - I'm a 37 year smoker and am just like you...had no cigarettes today and my last one was yesterday morning! I feel proud of both of us. I've been vaping just over a month and a half now and was consistently down to 3 smokes a day, then 2 and then thought WHY? Really didn't mean NOT to buy another pack of cigs, just keep saying to myself there is no reason to ** and vape instead **. Congrats again:toast:
I think its all in having good equipment and some decent e-liquid at the right nic level and it all just morphs into a vape habit from there with really positive aspects that start looking better and better than the cigs each day. Plus after I started both my husband and my brother have picked it up and neighbor is very interested. This is a really good direction, I wish both you and your son well.

I smoked for 30 years. That alone shocks the hell out of me. I knew I could never stop my pack a day Camel non-filters. For a joke I bought some cheap expensive piece of garbage electronic cig from my local cig store. November 2012, have not smoked a cig since! Also making my own juices now and saving a REAL bundle of cash. It costs me about .30 cents a day now, if that. The benefits are inumerable.

Stay with it! IT DOES WORK!!

We've all found our Holy Grail of freedom from the stinky cigs! Vaping is my habit now, and I've been Vaping exclusively for over five years! The change in Vaping equipment and juices during this time has been crazy fast, and just helps make this new hobby so much fun! Vape on, Noobs, because you will still be learning and experimenting with your toys and juices for quite a while to come! :). Congratulations on your first step to feeling better

Congrats to you both!

Recently passed my 1 year vape-a-versary, after 45+ years burning tobacco. My morning chest rattle (although mild) disappeared after only about two weeks off cigs, and what a nice eye-opener that was :)

Find the flavors and nic levels that work for you, and take your time branching out. Explore different type toppers - bottom coil, top coil, to see what you prefer. You don't say what you're using for a source, but if you haven't tried VV or VW, maybe look at those so you can "fine tune" the flavor and vapor. (Any juice will taste different at different power levels. It's nice to be able to adjust to taste.)

And every day it gets easier and easier.

At the end of the first week, go ahead and wash all of your clothing and fabrics. Clean the car interior, and clean off all the tar and nicotine off the windows and monitors in your house. And remember -- you won;t have to worry about those yellow stains again.

As the weeks pass and you're breathing easier, the sense of smell returns, and then you begin to taste everything again.

Welcome to ECF, to vaping and to freedom!
